The COVID-19 pandemic has uncovered the high genetic variability of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and its ability to evade the immune responses that were induced by earlier viral variants. Only a few monoclonal antibodies that have been reported to date are capable of neutralizing a broad spectrum of SARS-CoV-2 variants. Here, we report the isolation of a new broadly neutralizing human monoclonal antibody, iC1. The antibody was identified through sorting the SARS-CoV-1 RBD-stained individual B cells that were isolated from the blood of a vaccinated donor following a breakthrough infection. , iC1 potently neutralizes pseudoviruses expressing a wide range of SARS-CoV-2 Spike variants, including those of the XBB sublineage. In an hACE2-transgenic mouse model, iC1 provided effective protection against the Wuhan strain of the virus as well as the BA.5 and XBB.1.5 variants. Therefore, iC1 can be considered as a potential component of the broadly neutralizing antibody cocktails resisting the SARS-CoV-2 mutation escape.
In the aim of designing and developing a novel saponin-based adjuvant system, we combined the QS21 saponin with low microgram amounts of the fully synthetic TLR4 agonist, E6020, in cholesterol-containing liposomes. The resulting adjuvant system, termed SPA14, appeared as a long-term stable and homogeneous suspension of mostly unilamellar and a few multilamellar vesicles, with an average hydrodynamic diameter of 93 nm, when formulated in citrate buffer at pH 6.0-6.

These drivers often employ toxic proteins that target essential cellular functions to cause the destruction of driver- gametes. Identifying the mechanisms of drivers can expand our understanding of infertility and reveal novel insights about the cellular functions targeted by drivers.

Epitope mapping is a technique employed to define the region of an antigen that elicits an immune response, providing crucial insight into the structural architecture of the antigen as well as epitope-paratope interactions. With this breadth of knowledge, immunotherapies, diagnostics, and vaccines are being developed with a rational and data-supported design. Traditional epitope mapping methods are laborious, time-intensive, and often lack the ability to screen proteins in a high-throughput manner or provide high resolution.
