The study of serum samples, obtained from 15 cosmonauts before and after space flights, with the use of the indirect fluorescent method showed that in 7 cosmonauts antibodies to different elements of the human heart muscle appeared after flights. Strong and very strong luminescence of the elements of heart muscle tissue was detected in the cosmonauts after the third space flight. When studying the sera on sections of bovine heart muscle tissue, the reactions of the sera taken before and after flights were found to have no essential differences.

Patients presenting with acute coronary syndrome with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction require rapid and decisive interventions to restore blood flow to the affected myocardium, minimizing ischemic damage. This case report is particularly unique because it involves a patient presenting with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction, where the culprit lesion was an occluded coronary artery graft with an extensive thrombus burden. The complexity of this case necessitated a strategic shift to revascularize the chronically occluded native vessel instead of the graft.

Background: Beta thalassemia major (β-TM) is a severe genetic anemia with considerable phenotypic heterogeneity. This study investigated whether genotype correlates with distinct myocardial iron overload patterns, assessed by cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) T2* values.
Methods: CMR data for cardiac iron deposition evaluation, which recruited pediatric participants between January 2021 and December 2024, were analyzed with CVI42.

The present study aimed to characterize the behavior and evaluate the electromyographic (EMG), electrocardiographic (ECG), and respiratory responses of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) when exposed to different concentrations of Camphor (CPR) as a potential anaesthetic in immersion and recovery baths. The goal was to determine the impact of CPR on muscle, cardiac, and respiratory functions, and assess its suitability as an anesthetic for tilapia. Therefore, juvenile fish (38.

Myocardial fibrosis leads to cardiac dysfunction and arrhythmias in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), but the underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. Here, RNA sequencing identifies Forkhead Box1 (FoxO1) signaling as abnormal in male HFpEF hearts. Genetic suppression of FoxO1 alters the intercellular communication between cardiomyocytes and fibroblasts, alleviates abnormal diastolic relaxation, and reduces arrhythmias.
