Ethnopharmacological Relevance: The clinical efficacy of ginkgo diterpene lactone meglumine (GDLM), a Chinese patent medicine, in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) has garnered attention. However, the impact of GDLM on functional recovery in AIS patients has not been systematically reviewed or meta-analyzed.
Aim Of The Study: To evaluate the functional outcomes of GDLM in AIS patients.

Background And Objectives: Cognitive deficits represent a major long-term complication of anti-leucine-rich, glioma-inactivated 1 encephalitis (LGI1-E). Although severely affecting patient outcomes, the structural brain changes underlying these deficits remain poorly understood. In this study, we hypothesized a link between white matter (WM) networks and cognitive outcomes in LGI1-E.

Objective: To define the incidence of ventriculostomy-associated infections and their impact on the mortality and functional outcomes of patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.
Methods: We prospectively included all consecutive adult aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage patients admitted to the neurological intensive care units of the Instituto Estadual do Cérebro Paulo Niemeyer (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and Hospital Cristo Redentor (Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil) who required external ventricular drains from July 2015 to December 2020. Daily clinical and laboratory variables were collected at admission and during the hospital stay.

Introduction: The indication for endoscopic third ventriculostomy is often contested in children younger than 1 year. This study aims to establish the benefits of this modality in children with idiopathic congenital aqueductal stenosis.
Methods: Retrospective analysis was performed on patients <1 year old with idiopathic congenital aqueductal stenosis undergoing endoscopic third ventriculostomy between 2004 and 2020.

Background: Hyponatremia (< 135 mmol/L) is the most common electrolyte disturbance in patients with stroke. However, few studies have reported the relationship between hyponatremia at admission and outcomes in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) treated with mechanical thrombectomy (MT). This study is aimed to explore the association between hyponatremia and clinical outcomes following MT.
