Objective: To evaluate the therapeutic effects of Kuanxiong Aerosol (KXA) on ischemic stroke with reperfusion and elucidate the underlying pharmacological mechanisms.
Methods: In vivo pharmacological effects on ischemic stroke with reperfusion was evaluated using the transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (t-MCAO) mice model. To evaluate short-term outcome, 30 mice were randomly divided into vehicle group (n=15) and KXA group (n=15).

Background: This study aims to evaluate the capabilities and limitations of large language models (LLMs) for providing patient education for men undergoing radiotherapy for localized prostate cancer, incorporating assessments from both clinicians and patients.
Methods: Six questions about definitive radiotherapy for prostate cancer were designed based on common patient inquiries. These questions were presented to different LLMs [ChatGPT‑4, ChatGPT-4o (both OpenAI Inc.

Light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs) are promising candidates for fully solution-processed lighting applications because they can comprise a single active-material layer and air-stable electrodes. While their performance is often claimed to be independent of the electrode material selection due to the in situ formation of electric double layers (EDLs), we demonstrate conceptually and experimentally that this understanding needs to be modified. Specifically, the exciton generation zone is observed to be affected by the electrode work function.

Herein, a water-soluble, ultrabright, near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent, mechanically interlocked molecules (MIMs)-peptide bioconjugate is designed with dual targeting capabilities. Cancer cell surface overexpressed αβ integrin targeting two RGDS tetrapeptide residues is tethered at the macrocycle of MIMs-peptide bioconjugate via Cu(I)-catalyzed click chemistry on the Wang resin, and mitochondria targeting lipophilic cationic TPP functionality is conjugated at the axle dye. Living carcinoma cell selective active targeting, subsequently cell penetration, mitochondrial imaging, including the ultrastructure of cristae, and real-time tracking of malignant mitochondria by MIMs-peptide bioconjugate (RGDS)-Mito-MIMs-TPP are established by stimulated emission depletion (STED) super-resolved fluorescence microscopy.

The research relevance is determined by the need for rational use of limited resources in the healthcare sector and the importance of implementing the results of scientific research into medical practice to improve the quality of medical care. The study aims to identify key criteria and develop a system for evaluating clinical trials to prioritise the most promising areas based on their practical applicability in healthcare. The expert evaluation method of 17 research projects in the field of clinical medicine funded by government grants, involving 37 experts, was used to achieve the objective.
