Recent trends in toxicological pathology include implementation of digital platforms that have gained rapid momentum in the field. Are we ready to fully implement this new modality? This opinion piece provides some practical perspectives on digital pathology such as its cost limitations, relative time requirements, and a few technical issues, some of which are encountered for specific lesions, that warrant caution. Although the potential for digital pathology assessment with whole slide images has made great strides, we are of the opinion that it is not yet ready for complete replacement of glass slides in toxicologic pathology safety assessments.

Biological invasions are a major threat to biodiversity, ecosystem functioning and nature's contributions to people worldwide. However, the effectiveness of invasive alien species (IAS) management measures and the progress toward achieving biodiversity targets remain uncertain due to limited and nonuniform data availability. Management success is usually assessed at a local level and documented in technical reports, often written in languages other than English, which makes such data notoriously difficult to collect at large geographic scales.

Background: Pharmacy-to-dose (PTD) services describe an established practice where providers consult pharmacists for various medication dosing. In 2019, several institutions approved a daptomycin protocol, which allowed pharmacists to select doses based on provider-selected indications, renal function, and body mass index (BMI).
Objective: This study aims to determine the utility of a daptomycin PTD consult service.

Background: Female Condoms are 90-95% effective against HIV transmission when correctly and consistently used and are also cost-effective. In general, condoms prevent sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unwanted pregnancies. Although the COVID-19 pandemic had the potential to undermine routine healthcare services delivery and utilisation, there is limited evidence about the pandemic's effect on Female Condom uptake in Gauteng, one of the hardest-hit provinces in South Africa.

Background: KRAS-G12C inhibitors mark a notable advancement in targeted cancer therapies, yet identifying predictive biomarkers for treatment efficacy and resistance remains essential for optimizing clinical outcomes.
Methods: This systematic meta-analysis synthesized studies available through September 2024 across PubMed, Cochrane Library, SpringerLink, and Embase. Using CRISPR/Cas9 technology, this study generated cells with KEAP1 and STK11 knockouts, and utilized lentiviral vectors to overexpress PD-L1.
