Recording and quantifying hand and finger movement is essential for understanding the neuromechanical control of the hand. Typically, kinematics are collected through marker-based optoelectronic motion capture systems. However, marker-based systems are time-consuming to setup, expensive, and cumbersome, especially for finger tracking.

Introduction: Fiber posts present significant challenges for nonsurgical endodontic retreatment, as improper removal may result in iatrogenic root perforation or even root fracture. Recently, robotic technology has attracted considerable attention in dentistry and active dental robotic (ADR) systems can perform procedures based on preset instructions, minimizing reliance on the dentist's experience. This case report describes the application of an ADR system for fiber post removal through an existing zirconia crown.

Background: Trigger finger is a common disorder of the hand characterized by pain and locking of the digits during flexion or extension. In cases refractory to nonoperative management, surgical release of the A1 pulley can be performed. Objective: To describe the cortical evoked potentials in response to radiofrequency stimulation (RFEPs) in human volunteers.
Methods: Seventeen healthy volunteers participated in an experimental session in which radiofrequency (RF) and electrical (ES) stimulation were applied to the dorsum of the hands and feet. EEG was recorded to evaluate evoked responses for each stimulus modality and stimulation site.

Recently, aerial manipulations are becoming more and more important for the practical applications of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) to choose, transport, and place objects in global space. In this paper, an aerial manipulation system consisting of a UAV, two onboard cameras, and a multi-fingered robotic hand with proximity sensors is developed. To achieve self-contained autonomous navigation to a targeted object, onboard tracking and depth cameras are used to detect the targeted object and to control the UAV to reach the target object, even in a Global Positioning System-denied environment.
