[A case of prolonged remission after discontinuation of biological therapy in a patient with severe uncontrolled chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps].

Currently, targeted biological therapy is an innovative and highly effective approach in the treatment of severe chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) associated with T2 inflammation that is uncontrolled by standard treatment methods. The article presents the first experience of long-term observation of a patient who, one year after the start of targeted biological therapy with dupilumab, independently stopped the treatment due to complete relief of symptoms of CRSwNP, despite recommendations to continue therapy to maintain control. At the same time, one year after the refusal of biological therapy, the patient showed persistent clinical remission in relation to the symptoms of CRSwNP, confirmed by the results of videoendoscopic examination of the nasal cavity and computed tomography of the sinuses.

Background/aim: This study aimed to investigate the influence of Western diet on mammary cancer in Wistar female rats, focusing on systemic responses and tumor development.
Materials And Methods: Twenty-eight Wistar female rats were acclimatized and divided into four experimental groups (n=7 each): Western diet (WD), Western diet with N-methyl-N-nitrosourea (MNU) administration (WD+MNU), standard diet (CTR), and standard diet with MNU administration (CTR+MNU). MNU was administered intraperitoneally at 50 mg/kg at seven weeks of age to induce mammary cancer.

- The study involved dividing 40 rats into four groups to assess the toxicological impacts of ACDP and the protective role of cinnamon nanoemulsions (CMNEs) over 28 days.
- Results indicated that ACDP increased white blood cell counts while reducing red blood cells and overall body weight, but CMNEs helped restore these blood parameters and protected the liver from damage caused by ACDP.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is by far the most common central nervous system inflammatory demyelinating disease (CNS-IDD). It is diagnosed according to detailed criteria based on clinical definitions, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and cerebrospinal fluid findings. However, in rare instances, atypical syndromes associated with CNS demyelination, such as unusual MRI findings or poor response to standard treatment, may eventually necessitate a CNS biopsy with neuropathological examination.
