Luteolin (Lu), a compound with various biochemical and pharmacological activities beneficial to human health, has attracted researchers' attention. This study proposes an efficient and scalable method using ultrasound to intercalate graphene oxide (GO)-coated silica spheres (SiO) into MXenes, resulting in a 3D conductive interconnected structural composite material. Characterization of the composite material was conducted using SEM, TEM, XRD, XPS, and Raman spectroscopy. MXenes exhibit excellent electrical conductivity, and the SiO@GO surface with abundant hydroxyl and silanol groups provides high-binding active sites that facilitate Lu molecule enrichment. The formation of the 3D conductive interconnected structural composites enhances charge transport, significantly improving sensor sensitivity. Consequently, the sensor demonstrates excellent detection capabilities (detection range 0.03-7000 nM, detection limit 12 pM). Furthermore, the sensor can be applied to quantitative determination of Lu in real samples, including chrysanthemums, Jiaduobao, honeysuckle, purple perilla, and peanut shells, achieving recoveries between 98.2 and 104.7%.

Globally and nationally, there has been growing understanding and acknowledgment of systemic racism and its impact as a structural determinant of health. The profession of nursing has an obligation to carefully self-examine so it does not further contribute to systemic racism. Using the National Collaborating Centre for Methods and Tools' rapid review methodology, this rapid review of the literature seeks to understand how whiteness shapes the Canadian nursing profession.

Tannin-based foams have gained attention as a potential bio-based alternative to conventional synthetic foams. Traditionally, namely condensed tannins (CT) have been used, leaving the potential of hydrolysable tannins (HT) largely unexplored. This study compared the performance of chestnut (HT) and quebracho (CT) in tannin-protein-based foams at different tannin ratios.

Considering the growing need for developing ecological materials, this study investigates the acoustic, mechanical, and thermal properties of wood composites reinforced with beech or oak wood fibres. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed a complex network of interconnected pores within the composite materials, with varying pore sizes contributing to the material's overall properties. Acoustic characterization was conducted using a two-microphone impedance tube.

Triply periodic minimal surfaces (TPMSs) are known for their smooth, fully interconnected, and naturally porous characteristics, offering a superior alternative to traditional porous structures. These structures often suffer from stress concentration and a lack of adjustability. Using laser powder bed fusion (LPBF), we have fabricated Inconel 625 sheet-based TPMS lattice structures with four distinct topologies: Primitive, IWP, Diamond, and Gyroid.
