The study aimed to analyze the genetic diversity in the Czech population of using mitochondrial DNA markers, intergenic region and gene. A total of 308 samples of bees were collected from the entire Czech Republic (from colonies and flowers in 13 different regions). Following sequencing, several polymorphisms and haplotypes were identified. Analysis of sequences revealed three I haplotypes (C, A1, and A4). The region yielded 10 C lineage haplotypes, one of which is a newly described variant. Three A lineage haplotypes were identified, two of which were novel. A similar analysis of sequences yielded 16 distinct haplotypes (7 new) within the population. The most prevalent haplotype identified was C1a, followed by C2a, C2c, C2l, and C2d. For the locus, the most frequent haplotypes were HpB02, HpB01, HpB03, and HpB04. The haplotype and nucleotide diversity indices were high in both loci, in with values of 0.682 and 0.00172, respectively, and in 0.789 and 0.00203, respectively. The Tajima's D values were negative and lower in than in . The most frequent haplotypes were uniformly distributed across all regions of the Czech Republic. No haplotype of the indigenous M lineage was identified. High diversity and the occurrence of rare haplotypes indicate population expansion and continuous import of tribal material of the C lineage.

The development of small molecule drugs that target protein binders is the central goal in medicinal chemistry. During the lead compound development process, hundreds or even thousands of compounds are synthesized, with the primary focus on their binding affinity to protein targets. Typically, IC or EC values are used to rank these compounds.

Understanding and optimizing rearing conditions for dragonfly larvae is crucial for ecological research and conservation efforts, yet optimal rearing conditions and general rearing practices are lacking. In this study, we investigated the effect of temperature, amount of oxygen in water, presence of (artificial) plants, and age of eggs on hatchability, survival, and development of dragonfly larvae using the model species Sympetrum striolatum. We conducted three independent experiments and assessed variability between egg clutches of individual females, as well as the occurrence of cannibalism among larvae.

Background: The application of international recommendations for paediatric maintenance haemodialysis (HD) could be strengthened by national laws or written recommendations. Our aim was therefore to describe the national rules governing paediatric maintenance HD in European countries.
Methods: A national representative, approved by the president of each paediatric nephrology society, was contacted in all 42 European countries to complete two online questionnaires.

Background And Objectives: The Allergic Rhinitis and its Impact on Asthma (ARIA) guidelines classify rhinitis as "intermittent" or "persistent" and "mild" or "moderate-severe". To assess ARIA classes in a real-world study in terms of phenotypic differences and their association with asthma.
Methods: We performed a cross-sectional real-world study based on users of the MASK-air® app who reported data for at least 3 different months.

Since the debut of silicene in the experimental stage more than a decade ago, the family of two-dimensional elementary layers beyond graphene, called Xenes or transgraphenes, has rapidly expanded to include elements from groups II to VI of the periodic table. This expansion has opened pathways for the engineering of elementary monolayers that are inherently different from their bulk counterparts in terms of fundamental physical properties. Common guidelines for synthesizing Xenes can be categorized into well-defined methodological approaches.
