A new, simple and rapid spectrophotometric method was developed for determination of Sudan Black B in food products by supramolecular solvent-based-vortex-assisted-dispersive liquid liquid microextraction (SUPRAS-VA-DLLME). Extraction solvent type, volume of solvent, pH, volume of THF, centrifugation time, vortex time, and sample volume were investigated as optimization parameters of the developed method. Under the optimum conditions, limit of detection and limit of quantification, preconcentration factor and enhancement factor of the developed method were calculated to be 9.01 μg L, 29.73 μg L, 20, and 55, respectively. The developed microextraction method was successfully applied to food samples for the determination of Sudan Black B.

The most commonly used homogeneous catalyst for fatty acid esterification is a corrosive sulphuric acid. However, this requires costly investment in non-corrosive equipment, presents a safety risk, is time consuming, and increases effluent generation. In this study, inorganic 3D heteroborane cluster strong acids are employed for the first time as homogeneous catalysts.

The emerging field of senolytics is centered on eliminating senescent cells to block their contribution to the progression of age-related diseases, including cancer, and to facilitate healthy aging. Enhancing the selectivity of senolytic treatments toward senescent cells stands to reduce the adverse effects associated with existing senolytic interventions. Taking advantage of lipofuscin accumulation in senescent cells, we describe here the development of a highly efficient senolytic platform consisting of a lipofuscin-binding domain scaffold, which can be conjugated with a senolytic drug via an ester bond.

The environmental impact of plastic waste is a growing global challenge, primarily due to non-biodegradable plastics from fossil resources that accumulate in ecosystems. Biodegradable polymers like polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) offer a sustainable alternative. PHAs are microbial biopolymers produced by microorganisms using renewable substrates, including agro-industrial byproducts, making them eco-friendly and cost-effective.

The objective of this study was to examine the experiences and expertise of Black mental health professionals (BMHPs) who work with Black racial trauma across the lifespan. Authors conducted a qualitative study with a critical-ideological paradigm as the methodology of this study. Twenty-five BMHPs (psychologists and counselors) were interviewed about their experiences working with Black clients suffering from racial trauma.

This study sought to investigate the demographic and clinical characteristics of Sudanese men diagnosed with prostate cancer (PCa) to highlight differences in diagnosis among the three major ethnolinguistic groups. A total of 532 patients with confirmed PCa diagnosis through biopsy were enrolled from six medical centers in Sudan. The majority of patients, comprising 84.
