Hydrophobic non-ionic (type V) deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have recently emerged as a new class of sustainable materials that have shown unique properties in several applications. In this study, type V DESs thymol : camphor, menthol : thymol and eutectic mixtures (EMs) based on menthol : carboxylic acids with variable chain length, are experimentally investigated using xenon NMR spectroscopy, with the aim to clarify the peculiar nanostructure of these materials. The results, obtained from the analysis of the Xe chemical shifts and of the longitudinal relaxation times, reveal a correlation between the deviation from ideality of the DESs and their structure free volume. Furthermore, the effect of varying the composition of DESs and EMs on the liquid structure is also studied.

Single-cell multi-omics techniques, which enable the simultaneous measurement of multiple modalities such as RNA gene expression and Assay for Transposase-Accessible Chromatin (ATAC) within individual cells, have become a powerful tool for deciphering the intricate complexity of cellular systems. Most current methods rely on motif databases to establish cross-modality relationships between genes from RNA-seq data and peaks from ATAC-seq data. However, these approaches are constrained by incomplete database coverage, particularly for novel or poorly characterized relationships.

Methods: Serum REG Iα levels were analyzed through time-resolved fluoroimmunoassay (TRFIA) in healthy controls (HCs) and patients with benign gastric disease (BGD) and GC.

Objective: To analyse the relationship between bruxism and musculoskeletal parameters of the cervical and mandibular regions in children and adolescents.
Methods: A comparative cross-sectional study was performed with subjects from 6 to 16 years. Subjects were divided into bruxism (any type) and control groups.

Recently, as the number of cancer patients has increased, much research is being conducted for efficient treatment, including the use of artificial intelligence in genitourinary pathology. Recent research has focused largely on the classification of renal cell carcinoma subtypes. Nonetheless, the broader categorization of renal tissue into non-neoplastic normal tissue, benign tumor and malignant tumor remains understudied.

This article proposes using the extended Kalman filter (EKF) for recurrent neural network (RNN) training and fault estimation within a parabolic-trough solar plant. The initial step involves employing an RNN to model the system. Given the challenge of fault discernibility in the collectors, parallel EKFs are employed to reconstruct the parameters of the faults.
