Six novel bacterial strains, designated N016, N017, N022, N028, N056, and N064, were isolated from soil sampled on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Cells were aerobic, orange or yellow, globular or rod-shaped, non-motile, non-spore-forming, Gram-stain-positive, catalase-positive and oxidase-negative. All the isolates were salt-tolerant and could grow in the range of 4-42 °C. Results of phylogenomic analyses based on 16S rRNA gene sequences and core genomic genes showed that the three pairs of strains (N016/N017, N022/N028, and N056/N064) were closely related to the members of the genus , and clustered with , , and . The digital DNA-DNA hybridization and average nucleotide identity values of the six novel strains with other members of the genus were within the ranges of 18.7-53 % and 70.58-93.49 %, respectively, all below the respective recommended thresholds of 70.0 % and 95-96 %. The genomic DNA G+C content of the six strains ranged from 43.5 to 46.0 mol%. The major fatty acids of the six strains were -C, -C, and C 7 alcohol. The predominant polar lipids of strains N016, N022, and N056 were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, and phosphatidylethanolamine. Menaquinones 7 and 8 were the respiratory quinones. The results of the above analyses indicated that the six strains represent three novel species of the genus , for which the names sp. nov. (type strain N016=GDMCC 1.4062=JCM 36224), sp. nov. (type strain N022=GDMCC 1.4063=JCM 36225), and sp. nov. (type strain N056=GDMCC 1.4064=JCM 36226) are proposed.

Background: Strain Cyp38S was isolated as an endophyte from the plant Cyperus alternifolius, collected along the banks of the River Nile in 2019. Preliminary analysis tentatively identified Cyp38S as belonging to the genus Pseudocitrobacter.

Methods: The preliminary identification of Cyp38S was performed using the VITEK2 identification system, MALDI-TOF-MS, and 16S rRNA gene sequencing.

The smallest plant from the Lower Devonian of South China and the divergent life-history strategies in zosterophyllopsids.

The Key Laboratory of Orogenic Belts and Crustal Evolution, School of Earth and Space Sciences, Peking University, Beijing 100871, People's Republic of China.

Plants have evolved different life-history strategies to overcome limited amounts of available resources; however, when and how divergent strategies of sexual reproduction evolved in early land plants are not well understood. As one of the notable and vital components of early terrestrial vegetation, the Zosterophyllopsida and its type genus reached maximum species diversity during the Pragian (Early Devonian; 410.8-407.

This study evaluates the effects of liraglutide on albuminuria, oxidative stress, and inflammation in type 2 diabetes (T2D) patients with different urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR) categories. We enrolled 107 patients with T2D who were initiating liraglutide for glycemic control. Patients were categorized into 3 groups: group I (UACR < 30 mg/g); group II (30 mg/g ≤ UACR ≤ 300 mg/g); group III (UACR > 300 mg/g).

This study aimed to examine the employment status of patients who have experienced ischemic heart disease one year after undergoing cardiac rehabilitation. For this, a quasi-experimental pre-post study without a control group of active workers aged 18 to 65 years diagnosed with ischemic heart disease and included in a cardiac rehabilitation programme was conducted. Sociodemographic and occupational data, cardiovascular risk factors and clinical-therapeutic data on heart disease were collected.
