Objective: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of the granisetron transdermal delivery system (GTDS) combined with Dexamethasone for preventing chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) in patients receiving Capecitabine plus Oxaliplatin (CapeOX) therapy.
Design: Open-label, prospective, multi-center phase II trial.
Setting: Three institutions.
Participants: Fifty-four patients scheduled to receive CapeOX chemotherapy.
Interventions: Participants received GTDS (3.1 mg applied to the upper arm 48 h before chemotherapy, replaced on day 5, and discarded on day 12) and Dexamethasone.
Main Outcome Measures: The primary endpoint was the complete control rate of CINV. Secondary endpoints included the duration of delayed complete control, complete control rate in the acute phase, safety, and quality of life.
Results: The complete control rate for delayed CINV over the entire period (25-480 h) was 72.7% (95% CI 0.57-0.88). The duration of delayed complete control was 17.2 ± 4.5 days, with 51.5% of patients experiencing no nausea during the delayed phase. The complete control rate in the acute phase was 81.8% (95% CI 0.69-0.95). No serious adverse events related to the antiemetic regimen were reported.
Conclusion: Prolonged administration of GTDS is safe and effective for preventing CINV in patients with gastrointestinal malignancies treated with CapeOX.
Trial Registration: ClinicalTrials.gov registry (NCT05325190); registered on October 10, 2021.

Purpose: A considerable body of evidence indicated that interpersonal relationships were significantly associated with short-form video addiction (SFVA) among adolescents, but how they are related on a symptom level at different ages remains unclear. This study aimed to explore the central symptoms of SFVA and distinct associations between three primary interpersonal relationships (ie, teacher-student relationships, parent-child relationships, peer relationships) and SFVA symptoms in early and middle adolescence.
Participants And Methods: After completing scales of SFVA, teacher-student relationship, parent-child relationship and peer relationship in 2022, a sample of 1579 fourth-grade students (age range: 10-12; = 10.

Objective: To investigate the effectiveness of 12-weeks hybrid virtual coaching on health-related quality-of-life (HrQoL) in patients with stable COPD.
Methods: We equipped all patients with a CAir Desk for telemonitoring, the intervention group additionally received hybrid virtual coaching through the built-in smartphone. The multimodal intervention based on the Living well with COPD programme, containing educational content, physical activity coaching, and home-based exercises.

Trace measurement of aerosol chemical composition in workplace atmospheres requires the development of high-throughput aerosol collectors that are compact, hand-portable, and can be operated using personal pumps. We describe the design and characterization of a compact, high flow, Turbulent-mixing Condensation Aerosol-in-Liquid Concentrator (TCALC) that allows direct collection of aerosols as liquid suspensions, for off-line chemical, biological, or microscopy analysis. The TCALC unit, measuring approximately 12 × 16 × 18 cm, operates at an aerosol sample flowrate of up to 10 L min, using rapid mixing of a hot flow saturated with water vapor and a cold aerosol sample flow, thereby promoting condensational growth of aerosol particles.

It is very important to determine the chlorophyll content (SPAD) and nitrogen (N) requirement in order to increase the seed yield and nutritional quality of wheat. This research was carried out with three N doses (0, 50, 100 kg ha) and nine wheat cultivars (Alpu-2001, Soyer-02, Kate-A1, Bezostaja-1, Altay-2000, Müfitbey, Nacibey, Harmankaya-99 and Sönmez-2001) during 2-years field condition according to factorial randomized complete block design and three replications. In this study, with the increase of N dose (N50), seed yield increased by 13%, plant height by 10.

Background: A grapevine crown gall tumor strain, sp. strain Rr2-17 was previously reported to accumulate copious amounts of diverse quorum sensing signals during growth. Genome sequencing identified a single luxI homolog in strain Rr2-17, suggesting that it may encode for a AHL synthase with broad substrate range, pending functional validation.
