Background: Early detection of cognitive impairment is crucial for maximizing the benefits of disease-modifying treatments for Alzheimer's disease (AD). Brief, automatically-scored digital cognitive assessments such as the Digital Clock and Recall (DCR) show promise in streamlining this early detection. However, wide adoption of such assessments in diverse populations requires evaluation of their demographic biases.

Background: Optimal cerebral blood flow is crucial to maintaining cognitive function. Cerebrovascular reactivity (CVR) is a dynamic measure of cerebrovascular function which represents the ability of cerebral blood vessels to regulate blood flow in response to vasoactive stimuli. Prior studies have demonstrated an association between impaired CVR and cognitive function in cerebrovascular and neurodegenerative conditions, including cerebral amyloid angiopathy and Alzheimer disease.

Background: Sensitive screening for early Alzheimer's disease (AD)-related cognitive decline are needed. Prior research links high beta-amyloid (Aβ) levels to reduced proper name (PN) retrieval in individuals without cognitive impairment. We examined whether language-related regional tau from PET associated with Logical Memory (LM) proper name recall, accounting for LM covariates.

Background: The effect of amyloid-b brain deposition on cognition is still debated, since it has been shown that its accumulation begins almost 15 years before cognitive symptoms' onset, then reaches a plateau while cognition continues to decline. We studied if there is a parallel between amyloid-b deposition and cognitive performances in young-onset Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) patients, and if it is associated to symptoms' duration.
Method: Subjects with a diagnosis of MCI and symptoms' onset ≤ 65 years underwent neuropsychological assessment, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and (F)Flutemetamol-PET (amy-PET).

Background: Accelerated long-term forgetting (LTF) is characterized by unimpaired retention of information after short-term delays (e.g., 20-30 minutes) with increased forgetting at longer intervals (e.
