Article Abstract

High-resolution remote sensing technology is an efficient and low-cost space-to-earth observation strategy, which can carry out simultaneous monitoring of large-scale areas. It has incomparable advantages over ground monitoring solutions. Traditional road extraction methods are mainly based on image processing techniques. These methods usually only use one or a few features of images, which is difficult to fully deal with the real situation of roads. This work proposes a two-steps network for the road extraction. First, we optimize a pix2pix model for image translation to obtain the required map style image. Images output by the optimized model is full of road features and can relief the occlusion issues. It can intuitively reflect information such as the position, shape and size of the road. After that, we propose a new FusionLinkNet model, which has a strong stability in the road information by fusing the DenseNet, ResNet and LinkNet. Experiments show that our accuracy and learning rate have been improved. The MIOU (Mean Intersection Over Union) value of the proposed model in road extraction is over 80% in both DeepGlobe and Massachusetts road dataset. The figures are available from https://github.com/jsit-luwei/training-dataset.

Purpose: In primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL), B-cell lymphoma-6 (BCL-6) is an unfavorable prognostic biomarker. We aim to non-invasively detect BCL-6 overexpression in PCNSL patients using multiparametric MRI and machine learning techniques.

Methods: 65 patients (101 lesions) with primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) diagnosed from January 2013 to July 2023, and all patients were randomly divided into a training set and a validation set according to a ratio of 8 to 2.

Evaluation of Local Tumor Outcomes Following Microwave Ablation of Colorectal Liver Metastases Using CT Imaging: A Comparison of Visual versus Quantitative Methods.

Radiol Imaging Cancer

January 2025

From the Department of Radiology, Royal Marsden Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, 203 Fulham Road, London SW3 6JJ, England (J.D.S., L.K., L.P., J.M., N.K., D.M.K., E.J.); Institute of Cancer Research, London, England (N.P., D.M.K.); and Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Rijnstate Hospital, Arnhem, the Netherlands (W.O.).

Purpose To compare visual versus quantitative ablation confirmation for identifying local tumor progression and residual tumor following microwave ablation (MWA) of colorectal liver metastases (CRLM). Materials and Methods This retrospective study included patients undergoing MWA of CRLM from October 2014 to February 2018. Two independent readers visually assessed pre- and postprocedure images and semiquantitatively scored for incomplete ablation, using a six-point Likert scale, and extracted quantitative imaging metrics of minimal ablative margin (MAM) and percentage of tumor outside of the ablation zone, using both rigid and deformable registration.

BioGSF: a graph-driven semantic feature integration framework for biomedical relation extraction.

Brief Bioinform

November 2024

Suzhou Key Lab of Multi-modal Data Fusion and Intelligent Healthcare, No. 1188 Wuzhong Avenue, Wuzhong District Suzhou, Suzhou 215004, China.

The automatic and accurate extraction of diverse biomedical relations from literature constitutes the core elements of medical knowledge graphs, which are indispensable for healthcare artificial intelligence. Currently, fine-tuning through stacking various neural networks on pre-trained language models (PLMs) represents a common framework for end-to-end resolution of the biomedical relation extraction (RE) problem. Nevertheless, sequence-based PLMs, to a certain extent, fail to fully exploit the connections between semantics and the topological features formed by these connections.

Puberulic acid (PA) is a mycotoxin produced by a species of . It has received widespread attention as a significant contributor to the reported fatalities associated with red yeast rice dietary supplements. However, the detection of PA, especially at low concentration levels, poses a considerable challenge, with no detection methods reported thus far.

The purpose of this network meta-analysis (NMA) is to compare the effect of different non-pharmacological interventions (NPIs) on Problematic Internet Use (PIU). Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published from their inception to 22 December 2023 were searched in Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Embase, Medline, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, China Science and Technology Journal Database, Chinese BioMedical Literature Database, and WanFang Data. We carried out a data analysis to compare the efficacy of various NPIs using Bayesian NMA.
