This study uses an oceanic energy budget to estimate the ocean heat transport convergence in the North Atlantic during 2005-2018. The horizontal convergence of the ocean heat transport is estimated using ocean heat content tendency primarily derived from satellite altimetry combined with space gravimetry. The net surface energy fluxes are inferred from mass-corrected divergence of atmospheric energy transport and tendency of the ECMWF ERA5 reanalysis combined with top-of-the-atmosphere radiative fluxes from the clouds and the Earth's radiant energy system project.

Noise-robust consistency regularization for semi-supervised semantic segmentation.

Neural Netw

Deep Mining and Rock Burst Research Branch, Chinese Institute of Coal Science, Qingniangou Road No. 5, Beijing, 100013, China.

The essential of semi-supervised semantic segmentation (SSSS) is to learn more helpful information from unlabeled data, which can be achieved by assigning adequate quality pseudo-labels or managing noisy pseudo-labels during training. However, most relevant state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods are mainly devoted to improving one aspect. By revisiting the representative SSSS methods from a robust learning view, this paper discovers that the appropriate combination of multiple noise-robust methods contributes both to assigning sufficient quality pseudo labels and managing noisy labels.

Background: INTER- and INTRAmuscular fat (IMF) is elevated in high metabolic states and can promote inflammation. While magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) excels in depicting IMF, the lack of reproducible tools prevents the ability to measure change and track intervention success.

Methods: We detail an open-source fully-automated iterative threshold-seeking algorithm (ITSA) for segmenting IMF from T1-weighted MRI of the calf and thigh within three cohorts (CaMos Hamilton (N = 54), AMBERS (N = 280), OAI (N = 105)) selecting adults 45-85 years of age.

The association between the dietary inflammatory index (DII) and visual impairment remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the DII and non-refractive visual impairment among US populations. A cross-sectional analysis was conducted using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2005-2008, including dietary information and visual impairment assessment.
