Hydrazine (NH) has toxic effects on the environment. Although a variety of reactive probes have been used to identify hydrazine, practical applications required continuous development of hydrazine fluorescent probes with improved performance. Here, we applied the neighboring group participation (NGP) to the design of a fluorescent probe for hydrazine. The probe exhibited a rapid response to NH and strong anti-interference ability, with detection limited to 0.031 μmol/L. Theoretical calculation showed that the energy barrier could be reduced by NGP. The cyclic intermediate formed by the indole ring and the α-ester carbonyl group significantly reduced the activation energy of the reaction. Practically, the probe could detect hydrazine in actual water samples.

Evaluating the Real-World Safety of Icosapent Ethyl Versus Omega-3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid in Nationwide US Veterans Cohort: Examining Atrial Fibrillation and Bleeding Endpoints.

Clin Drug Investig

January 2025

Department of Medicine, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Informatics, University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine, 423 Guardian Drive, Philadelphia, PA, 19104, USA.

Purpose: The REDUCE-IT randomized trial demonstrated a cardiovascular benefit of icosapent ethyl (IPE) but also raised potential safety signals for atrial fibrillation (AF) and serious bleeding. We aimed to evaluate the real-world safety of IPE versus mixed omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid (OM-3) formulations.

Methods: This retrospective active comparator new-user cohort study compared rates of new-onset AF and major bleeding (MB) among adult new users of IPE versus OM-3 in 2020-2024 US Veterans Affairs data.

Shandong Zhuoyue Precision Industry Group Co., Ltd., Jining 272114, China.

The 7000 series aluminum alloy represented by Al-Zn-Mg-Cu has good strength and toughness and is widely used in the aerospace field. However, its high Zn content results in poor corrosion resistance, limiting its application in other fields. In order to achieve the synergistic improvement of both strength and corrosion resistance, this study examines the response of strength, toughness and corrosion resistance of a high-strength aluminum alloy tail frame under aging conditions with external stresses of 135 MPa, 270 MPa and 450 MPa.
