We present a method for the layout of anatomical structures and blood vessels based on information from the Foundational Model of Anatomy (FMA). Our approach integrates a novel vascular layout into the hierarchical treemap representation of anatomy as used in ApiNATOMY. Our method aims to improve the comprehension of complex anatomical and vascular data by providing readable visual representations. The effectiveness of our method is demonstrated through a prototype developed in VANTED, showing potential for application in research, education, and clinical settings.

Secretion of neurotransmitter- and neuropeptide-containing vesicles is a regulated process orchestrated by multiple proteins. Of these, mutants, defective in the and genes, responsible for neurotransmitter and neuropeptide release, respectively, are routinely used to elucidate neural and circuitry functions. While these mutants result in severe functional deficits, their neuroanatomy is assumed to be intact.

Calcaneal articular fractures are fractures classically associated with a high rate of complications and poor outcomes. Osteosynthesis of the calcaneus through a sinus tarsi approach has shown results equal to or superior to those of the extended approach, having become the new gold standard. The objective of this article is to detail step by step the surgical technique of osteosynthesis of intra-articular fractures of the calcaneus through a sinus tarsi approach, from the selection of the fracture, positioning of the patient, layout of the operating room and the fluoroscope, the entire surgical process until postoperative treatment.

Cardiac mapping is a crucial procedure for diagnosing and treating cardiac arrhythmias. Still, current clinical techniques face limitations including insufficient electrode coverage, poor conformability to complex heart chamber geometries, and high costs. This study explores the design, testing, and validation of a 64-electrode soft robotic catheter that addresses these challenges in cardiac mapping.

Before calcification begins, the early embryonic and fetal skeletal development of both mammalian and the chondrichthyan fish consists exclusively of cartilage. This cartilage is formed and shaped through processes involving tissue segmentation and the frequency, distribution, and orientation of chondrocyte mitoses. In the subsequent developmental phase, mineral deposition in the cartilage matrix conditions the development further.

Unlabelled: Electrogastrography (EGG) is a non-invasive method with high diagnostic potential for the prevention of gastroenterological pathologies in clinical practice. In this study, a review of the measurement systems, procedures, and methods of analysis used in electrogastrography is presented. A critical review of historical and current literature is conducted, focusing on electrode placement, measurement apparatus, measurement procedures, and time-frequency domain methods of filtration and analysis of the non-invasively measured electrical activity of the stomach.
