The gradually progressive solitary cystic-solid mass of chest CT scans is highly suggestive of lung cancer. We report a case of a 29-year-old woman with a persistent cystic-solid lesion in the right upper lobe. A chest CT scan showed a 35 mm × 44 mm × 51 mm focal cystic-solid mass in the anterior segment of the right upper lobe. The size of lesion had increased over 3 years, especially for the solid component. The right upper lobe pneumonectomy was performed. Postoperative pathological examination showed placental transmogrification of the lung, which is a rare cause of pulmonary cystic lesion.

Rationale: Sarcomatoid hepatocellular carcinoma (SHC) is a rare subtype of hepatocellular carcinoma. Its imaging findings often resemble those of liver abscess, making preoperative diagnosis particularly challenging. To date, there have been no documented cases of SHC with subdiaphragmatic metastases.

Background: To investigate the clinical features, imaging manifestations, and pathological characteristics of mixed epithelial stromal tumor of the kidney (MESTK) to improve the understanding of MESTK and the accuracy of preoperative imaging diagnosis.
Methods: The clinical, imaging, and pathological data of 3 patients with MESTK confirmed by postoperative pathology were retrospectively analyzed.
Results: Three patients with MESTK were middle-aged women with no obvious clinical symptoms.

Encapsulated papillary carcinoma (EPC) represents a distinct entity within the spectrum of breast papillary tumors, typically manifesting as a retroareolar mass. This rare subtype can be effectively visualized using ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging, which reveal characteristic cystic-solid nodules. Histopathologically, EPC is defined by a papillary tumor structure with a well-defined fibrous capsule, devoid of myoepithelial cells both within and around the capsule.
