Malignant hypertension in Conn's syndrome is rare. We report an 18 year old boy who presented with visual and renal impairment due to malignant hypertension which subsequently proved to be secondary to an aldosterone secreting adrenal adenoma. Diagnosis was delayed in this patient as plasma renin concentrations (PRC) were not invariably low and it is emphasized that suppression of PRC is not always a feature of primary hyperaldosteronism. The diagnosis of primary hyperaldosteronism is only excluded adequately by the demonstration of suppression of aldosterone secretion.

Anti-vascular endothelial growth factor-associated thrombotic microangiopathy (aVEGF-TMA) was recently discovered in patients with malignant tumors. Four aVEGF-TMA patients diagnosed by renal biopsy between 2018 and 2022 were identified, and all were females aged 30-62 years (mean age, 47 years). Two patients with malignant gastrointestinal stromal tumors who received sunitinib were analyzed.

A critical clinical consideration, in addition to other common risk factors predisposing individuals to idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH), involves the potential co-occurrence of increased intracranial pressure and elevated cerebrospinal fluid protein levels in the presence of underlying malignancies. Primary diffuse leptomeningeal melanomatosis, an exceptionally rare condition with few reported cases in the pediatric population, illustrates this scenario. Timely decision-making based on clinical suspicion to perform a biopsy and involving a skilled pathologist for accurate reporting are essential steps toward achieving a definitive diagnosis.

Pheochromocytoma (PHEO) currently is considered to be malignant due to metastatic potential. One of the most common familial forms of PHEO is multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome (MEN) type 2. The penetrance of PHEO in MEN2 syndrome is up to 50% of cases.

: Retroperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy (RLA) is one of two laparoscopic procedures used to treat benign and malignant adrenal diseases. Obesity in patients undergoing minimally invasive adrenal surgery is a frequently discussed topic. Our meta-analysis aimed to provide updated evidence by comparing intraoperative and perioperative outcomes on non-obese (NOb) and obese (Ob) patients who underwent RLA due to benign or malignant disease.

Prostate cancer is epithelial malignant prostate hyperplasia caused by a tumor. We found prostate cancer GSE141551 and GSE200879 profiles from gene expression omnibus database, followed by differentially expressed genes (DEGs) analysis, weighted gene co-expression network analysis, protein-protein interaction analysis, gene function enrichment analysis, and comparative toxicology database analysis. Finally, the gene expression heat map was drawn, and miRNA information regulating core DEGs was retrieved.
