Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) causes a significant burden of acute respiratory illness across all ages, particularly for infants and older adults. Infants, especially those born prematurely or with underlying health conditions, face a high risk of severe RSV-related lower respiratory tract infections (LRTIs). Globally, RSV contributes to millions of LRTI cases annually, with a disproportionate burden in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

Family members who live with relatives with serious mental illness face unique mental health risks, which become worse with alcohol use and without social support. Research has highlighted the damaging effects of harmful substance use among people who feel like they do not matter to others, but few studies have assessed links between mattering and alcohol use within marginalized populations. In the present study, a sample of family members who reside with a relative with mental illness completed an online survey.

Immigrant adolescents in Canada face challenges accessing accurate sexual and reproductive health (SRH) information and services. Many challenges stem from taboos associated with SRH, cultural and religious restrictions, and social beliefs regarding the unnecessity of SRH education for adolescents. Background: Oral flora and inflammatory factors play a crucial role in oral cancer, but the relationship between them and oral cancer has not been clearly established.
Methods: Oral flora served as exposure factor, oral cancer as outcome factor, and inflammatory factors as mediating factor. Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis was used to analyze the relationship between oral flora and oral cancer, and the potential mediating effect of inflammatory factors was explored through mediation analysis.

Latinx youth face increased risk for behavioral health concerns and experience obstacles accessing behavioral health services yet remain underrepresented in behavioral health research. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a shift toward virtual research methods, but little is known about how virtual methods may affect research participation among Latinx youth and families. This study explored the facilitators and barriers to virtual research participation among Latinx families living in low-socioeconomic status (SES) contexts.
