Objective: To report a case with a distinct difference between the ovarian reserve parameters of antimüllerian hormone (AMH) levels, antral follicle count (AFC), and follicle-stimulating hormone levels caused by a novel homozygous missense variant in the exon 1 of the gene [NM_000479.4:c259G>A, p.(Val87Met)].
Design: Case report.
Setting: Tertiary referral in vitro fertilization clinic.
Patients: A 33-year-old woman, G4P4A0E0L4, with a BMI of 25.33 kg/m, high AFC, and repeated extremely low systemic AMH levels, was detected and measured using multiple enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays.
Interventions: Antimüllerian hormone analysis with multiple assays, whole exome sequencing through next generation sequencing to diagnose the missense variant, and inhibin B measurement.
Main Outcomes Measures: Genetic counseling and two subsequent ovarian stimulations for successful fertility preservation.
Results: Detection of the [NM_000479.4:c259G>A, p.(Val87Met)] variant in the AMH gene. Retrieval and cryopreservation of four euploid blastocysts and 26 metaphase II oocytes.
Conclusions: gene mutations can lead to the absence of systemic AMH levels and might be discordant to other ovarian reserve markers like AFC, follicle-stimulating hormone, and inhibin B, without affecting the ovarian response to ovarian stimulation. Clinicians should not rely exclusively on AMH levels for ovarian stimulation. When severely reduced AMH levels are found in patients with high AFC, AMH variants should be suspected, and fertility treatments should be tailored adequately.

Background: Proper planning of reproductive health needs for HIV-infected adolescents requires a clear understanding of the effects of HIV infection on adolescents' pubertal development.
Objective: To assess the effects of HIV infection on the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian (HPO) axis, ovarian reserve and pubertal development in adolescent girls at a tertiary hospital in Zimbabwe.
Methods: This was a cross-sectional survey of HIV-infected adolescent girls aged 10-19 years, with available CD4 + count results at a tertiary hospital in Zimbabwe.

Objective: To evaluate the effects of hysterectomy for benign uterine tumors on subsequent ovarian reserve, sexual function, and lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS).
Methods: The present study was a prospective longitudinal analysis that recruited patients aged 35-45 years who underwent simple hysterectomy without oophorectomy for symptomatic benign uterine tumors. Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) and serum sex hormone profiles, including follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), estradiol, progesterone, and total testosterone, were measured at four timepoints: before hysterectomy, and 3, 6, and 12 months postoperatively.

Objective: Prior research has identified that people with Parkinson's reporting lower levels of self-efficacy exhibit worsening motor and non-motor symptomology, reduced quality of life, and self-management. Our key objective was to conduct a scoping review examining the impact of digital health technologies on self-efficacy in people with Parkinson's.
Design: A scoping review using Arksey and O'Malley's (2005) framework was undertaken.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the possible mechanism through which acupuncture protects ovaries with Poor Ovarian Response (POR) in rats based on microRNA (miRNA).
Methods: Thirty-six SPF SD female non-pregnant rats aged 8 weeks were randomly divided into the blank group, model group, and acupuncture group, with 12 rats in each group. According to the group, the rats were given gavage of Tripterygium wilfordii polyglycosides suspension for 14 days to establish the model of POR, and then the rats were treated with acupuncture for 2 weeks, once a day, for 20 minutes.

Objective: To study the relationship between FK506-binding protein 51 (FKBP51) and ovarian aging and/or diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) in human ovaries by comparing FKBP51 levels in granulosa (GC) and cumulus cells (CC), collected during controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) from women of advanced reproductive age and/or with a diagnosis of DOR with that of young women with normal ovarian reserve. To explore the association between increased FKBP51 expression and human ovarian aging further, expression of FKBP51 was compared in ovarian stroma of post-menopausal versus pre-menopausal women. Lastly, this relation was further queried by comparing ovarian expression of several collagen genes as markers of ovarian fibrosis in 14-month-old wild type (Fkbp5) and Fkbp5 knockout (Fkbp5) mice.
