: The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the effects of two different anti-inflammatory drugs (ketoprofen and prednisone) combined with an antibiotic (amoxicillin + clavulanic acid) and periodontal surgery on dental and periodontal parameters in patients with severe chronic periodontitis. In addition, salivary stress expressed by cortisol levels was assessed. : An interventional study was performed on 22 periodontal subjects and 19 clinical healthy controls.

Background: Promoting access to medicines requires concurrent efforts to strengthen quality assurance for sustained impact. Although problems of substandard and falsified medicines have been documented in low- and middle-income countries, reliable information on quality is rarely available.
Objective: The aim of this study was to validate an alternative post-market surveillance model to complement existing models.
Actinomycosis is a rare chronic granulomatous infection caused by Gram-positive, non-acid-fast, anaerobic to microaerophilic bacteria.We report a case of cervicofacial actinomycosis in an 86-year-old woman undergoing immunosuppressive therapy with azathioprine and prednisone for rheumatoid arthritis. She underwent a dental treatment several months earlier.
