Article Abstract

Nine Pezizomycotina strains were isolated from rotten dead branches and leaves collected from Guizhou Province. To obtain their accurate taxonomic placement, we provided the morphological characteristics of conidiophore cells and conidia. Phylogenetic relationships, based on ITS, , SSU, LSU and gene sequences, confirmed our strains represented three novel species, , and . produced falcate conidia and generated fusiform conidia, while possessed cylindrical conidia. The phylogenetic results also supported them as novel taxa. All the new species in the present study were found as saprophytic on forest litter with high rainfall, which suggest they may have a certain effect on nutrient decomposition and redistribution in forest ecosystems. Thus, it opened a way for further research on related ecological roles and their application production.

The impact of straw and biochar on carbon mineralization and the function of carbon cycle genes in paddy soil is important for soil nutrient management and the transformation of carbon pools. This research is based on a five-year field experiment with four treatments: no fertilizer application (CK); chemical fertilizer only (NPK); straw combined with chemical fertilizer (NPKS); and biochar combined with chemical fertilizer (NPKB). By integrating indoor mineralization culture with metagenomic approaches, we analyzed the response of organic carbon mineralization and carbon cycle genes in typical paddy soil from Guizhou Province, China, to different fertilization treatments.

Identification and quantitative trait locus mapping of Tartary buckwheat pre-harvest sprouting.

Research Center of Buckwheat Industry Technology, College of Life Science, Guizhou Normal University, Huaxi University Town, Gui'an New District, China.

Background: Tartary buckwheat (Fagopyrum tartaricum) is particularly vulnerable to pre-harvest sprouting (PHS) due to its extended flowering and fruiting cycle, especially during periods of prolonged rainfall. This susceptibility has significant adverse effects on yield, quality and post-harvest processing. In this study, a recombinant inbred lines (RILs) population (XJ-RILs) was developed from a cross between the PHS-susceptible Tartary buckwheat variety 'Xiaomiqiao' (female parent) and the highly PHS-resistant variety 'Jinqiaomai 2' (male parent).

Background: Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is defined as a glucose intolerance resulting in hyperglycaemia of variable severity with onset during pregnancy, and is prevalent worldwide. The study of diagnostic markers of GDM in early pregnancy is important for early diagnosis and early intervention of GDM. The aim of this study was to search for biomarkers of GDM in early and mid-pregnancy using a targeted proteomics approach.

The impact of geopolitical risks (GPR) on enterprises is significant, yet the existing literature lacks a comprehensive understanding of how GPR affects environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance. This study addresses this gap by analysing data from Chinese enterprises over the period 2009 to 2021. It empirically examines the impact of GPR on ESG performance and explores the underlying mechanisms.

Background: Type I acute myocardial infarction (T1MI) has a very high morbidity and mortality rate. The role of thrombus-derived exosomes (TEs) in T1MI is unclear.

Methods: The objective of this study was to identify the optimal thrombolytic drug and concentration for extracting TEs.
