Eighteen compounds including eleven previously undescribed diterpenes were isolated from the leaves of Croton mangelong. The structures were determined by HRESIMS, IR, NMR, X-ray diffraction and ECD spectroscopic analysis. All isolates were assayed for their anti-hyperglycemic activities in insulin resistance (IR) 3T3-L1 adipocytes, and compound 4 was tested for its anti-diabetic activity in vivo. Results suggested compound 4 could effectively reduce blood glucose level in diabetic SD rats in a dose of 30 mg/kg.

The antibacterial nanofibrous mat is crucial in biomedicine as it enhances infection control, expedites wound healing, and mitigates health hazards by decreasing antibiotic usage. A novel synergistic antibacterial and hydrophilic nanofibrous mat successfully fabricated by solution electrospinning from polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) incorporated Croton bonplandianum Baill (CBB) leaves extract. Antioxidant-enriched leaf extract of the CBB plant was integrated with PVA in varying proportions of 30% (CBB-30), 40% (CBB-40), and 50% (CBB-50) to manufacture antibacterial nanofibrous mat.

Two new sesquiterpene eudesmanolides, 5-hydroxy-eudesman-7(11)-en-8(12)-olide (), and 5-hydroxy-7(11)-en-8-oxo-eudesmane (), along with six known sesquiterpene eudesmanolides, were isolated from the leaves and twigs of Raeusch. The structures of these compounds were established basis on NMR and MS spectroscopic analyses. The cytotoxic activities of the isolated compounds were evaluated.

The endophytic microbes play crucial roles to crop development under stress environmental conditions. In this research, 36 endophytic bacterial strains having diverse morphology were isolated from exotic wild plant . The strain SSP8 was selected for experimental study as it efficiently tolerate NaCl (0-1200 mM), produced Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) (46 μg mL) and 1-amino-1-cyclopropane-1-carboxylate (ACC) deaminase (176.
