The electrochemical reduction of CO (CORR) to value-added products has garnered significant interest as a sustainable solution to mitigate CO emissions and harness renewable energy sources. Among CORR products, formic acid/formate (HCOOH/HCOO) is particularly attractive due to its industrial relevance, high energy density, and potential candidate as a liquid hydrogen carrier. This study investigates the influence of the initial oxidation state of tin on CORR performance using nanostructured SnO catalysts.

Owing to their nutritional, culinary, and nutraceutical, mushrooms are worldwide consumed and appreciated. Moreover, many of these mushrooms are also known as medicinal mushrooms since they possess several pharmacological properties attributable to a huge number of bioactive compounds derived from their sporophores. Several studies are available in the literature about in vitro and in vivo mechanisms of actions of such bioactive compounds.

Urban public health resilience has become a critical focus in the transition to high-quality development, especially in addressing increasing public health challenges. This study explores the role of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in enhancing urban public health resilience across 284 Chinese cities from 2011 to 2021. Using a comprehensive index based on resistance, recovery, and innovation dimensions, the study quantifies AI technology levels through patent applications and authorizations, further disaggregating these into invention, utility model, and design patents.

The growth of knowledge and research practices in any discipline is characterised by a trade-off between depth and breadth: we can either invest efforts to learn a little about many things, or learn a lot about few things. In parasitology, breadth of knowledge corresponds to research on biodiversity and taxonomy: the discovery and description of an increasing number of new species. In contrast, depth of knowledge comes from focused research on a few model species, about which we accumulate much detailed information.
