Introduction: Studies focusing on coopetition and dynamic capabilities have expanded significantly over the past several decades. Coopetition strategy and dynamic capabilities are increasingly recognised as sources of sustained competitive advantage. The purpose of this paper is to provide a better understanding of the factors driving growth performance in digital healthcare ventures by examining the role of coopetition, exploration and exploitation capabilities, and environmental uncertainty. While numerous studies have examined the competitive advantage of coopetition, its specific contribution to the growth of ventures in the digital realm remains less explored. Clarifying the strategic role of coopetition in driving growth performance is critical for delineating the intricate relationship between coopetition and growth performance, particularly in the context of digital healthcare ventures. To fill in this research gap, this study uses coopetition theory and dynamic capabilities theory to look at how exploration and exploitation capabilities, as well as environmental uncertainty, affect the relationship between coopetition and growth performance in digital healthcare ventures.

Methods: We collected a total of 338 questionnaires from Chinese digital healthcare ventures between March 2023 and August 2023. We conducted data analysis using SPSS 26.0 and its macro-program PROCESS.

Results: Our results confirm that coopetition has a positive effect on growth performance in digital healthcare ventures. Furthermore, exploration and exploitation capabilities fully mediate the relationship between coopetition and growth performance. Moreover, environmental uncertainty significantly and distinctively moderates the impact of exploration and exploitation capabilities on growth performance.

Discussion: This study contributes to the existing literature by providing deeper insight into the relationship between coopetition and growth performance in digital healthcare ventures. It also offers important practical implications for public health improvement and socio-economic development.

Tungsten Oxide/g-CN Heterostructures: Composition, Structure, and Photocatalytic Applications.

Langmuir

March 2025

School of Material Science and Engineering, University of Jinan, Jinan, 250022, PR China.

The construction of heterostructures promotes extending the light adsorption range of graphitic carbon nitride (g-CN) materials, improving the photogenerated charge carrier separation/transfer efficiency for attaining much enhanced performances. Because defective tungsten oxide (WO) materials possess rich composition/morphology and an extended light response in the near-infrared region, WO is a quite popular nanocomponent for modifying g-CN, forming heterostructures that can be used for various photocatalytic applications involving water splitting, CO reduction, NO removal, HO generation, and related chemical to fuel conversion reactions. In this review, important aspects of WO/g-CN heterostructure photocatalysts are reviewed to provide paradigms for composition adjustment, structural design, and photocatalytic applications of these materials.

Residual Al Adatoms Driven Epitaxy of AlGaN QWs for High-Performance UV LEDs.

Adv Mater

March 2025

State Key Laboratory for Mesoscopic Physics and Frontiers Science Center for Nano-optoelectronics, School of Physics, Peking University, Beijing, 100871, China.

AlGaN-based ultraviolet (UV) light-emitting diodes (LEDs) experience a notable reduction in efficiency within the 280-330 nm wavelength range, known as the "UVB gap". Given the extensive applications of UV LEDs in this wavelength range, it is imperative to bridge this efficiency gap. In this study, a strategy facilitated by the presence of residual Al adatoms is introduced to simultaneously improve the integration of Ga-adatoms and the migration of Al/Ga-adatoms during the growth of low-Al-composition AlGaN quantum wells (QWs) even at high temperatures comparable to those used for high-Al-composition AlGaN quantum barriers.

Examining the dualistic model of passion in addiction recovery.

Front Public Health

March 2025

Community, Family, and Addiction Sciences, Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX, United States.

Introduction: Addiction recovery can be conceptualized as multidimensional changes to health and wellness including changes in substance use, physical and mental health, and social relationships. These outcomes are often measured through recovery capital which recognizes the various resources, both internal and external, that one may use to enhance their recovery. Internal and external resources can also be accumulated by engaging in an activity an individual is passionate about, explained by the dualistic model of passion (DMP) as enhancing mental and spiritual well-being, health, and personal growth, thereby fostering positive emotions, community involvement, deeper relationships, and heightened performance across various life domains.
