strain C14 was isolated from a weathered concrete cylinder. Using PacBio sequencing, we generated a complete genome for strain C14, which includes one circular chromosome (6,656,731 bp) and six putative plasmids (35,452 to 85,428 bp).

A novel, gelatinous, colony-forming, rod-shaped bacterial strain, designated IK01 was isolated from biofilms formed on the membrane surface of a sewage-treating membrane bioreactor (MBR). Strain IK01 produced gelatinous and almost transparent colonies at lower medium concentrations. Fourier transform infrared analysis of the gelatinous colony matrix showed that the matrix could be a biofilm substance.

Two populations of Physalis patula Miller collected in different localities (Querétaro and Teotihuacán) of Central México were analyzed. Eight new compounds including three withanolides, physapatolides A-C (1-3), two labdanes, 12-epi-physacoztomatin (10) and physapatulone (12), besides three 12-O-glucosyl labdanes, patulosides A-C (13-15), were isolated from these collections. A series of known withanolides, flavonoids, labdanes, sucrose esters, and sterols were also isolated.

During a study investigating possible probiotics from chicken gut microbiota, strains C1-4 and C2-3 were isolated and identified as members of the genus Ligilactobacillus. The strains formed a well-supported cluster with Ligilactobacillus salivarius and Ligilactobacillus hayatikensis in phylogenetic trees. Their genomes, sized 1.

A Gram-stain-negative bacterium, designated as strain TK19100, was isolated from the mid-ridge of the Southwest Indian Ocean. Cells of strain TK19100 were strictly aerobic, non-motile and short-rod shaped with fimbriae-like structures around the cell surface. Growth occurred at 15-40 °C, at pH 6.

A gram-positive, nonpathogenic, central endospore-forming, flagellated strain, was successfully isolated from the rhizosphere of in Aracena (Spain). Its optimal growth conditions are 28 °C, pH 6, and 0 % salinity. It is able to assimilate glucose, L-fucose, L-arabinose, b-metil-D-xylose and shows high catabolic capacity.
