Kiwifruit (Actinidia chinensis), a recently commercialized horticultural crop, is rich in various nutrient compounds. However, the regulatory networks controlling the dynamic changes in key metabolites among different tissues remain largely unknown. Here, high-resolution spatiotemporal datasets obtained by ultraperformance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry methodology and RNA-seq were employed to investigate the dynamic changes in the metabolic and transcriptional landscape of major kiwifruit tissues across different developmental stages, including from fruit skin, outer pericarp, inner pericarp, and fruit core.

The intriguing characteristics of nanoparticles have fueled recent advancement in the field of nanotechnology. In the current study, a microbial-based bioflocculant made from the SCOBY of Kombucha tea broth was purified, profiled, and utilized to biosynthesize iron nanoparticles as a capping and reducing agent. UV-visible absorption spectroscopy, transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX), and TGA were used to characterize the Fe nanoparticles.

Unlabelled: This research investigated the effect of mixing formulas and storage conditions on the quality of the acerola tea bags. The tea bag formula, which includes 94 g of acerola fragments, 6 g of oolong tea, and 3 g of sweet leaves, had the best sensory quality. Under this condition, the acerola tea powder had vitamin C of 759.

A tremendous amount of waste black tea bags (BTBs) and date palm surface fibers (DPSFs), at the end of their life cycle, end up in landfills, leading to increased pollution and an increase in the negative impact on the environment. Therefore, this study aims to utilize these normally wasted materials efficiently by developing new composite materials for thermal insulation and sound absorption. Five insulation composite boards were developed, two were bound (BTB or DPSF with polyvinyl Acetate resin (PVA)) and three were hybrids (BTB, DPSF, and resin).

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Sjögren's syndrome (SJS) and dry eye syndrome (DES) are characterized by ocular dryness from inadequate tear production or excessive evaporation. To evaluate the effectiveness of TBDESJS (Chun-Yu-Ching-Hua-Yin, CYCHY), a TCM tea bag, in treating SJS and DES patients compared with healthy controls (NHC).
Materials And Methods: This phase II pilot study included 100 participants (60 SJS, 30 DES, 10 NHC) across 8 weeks, assessing changes in Schirmer's test, OSDI, ESSPRI, PSQI, FIRST, and artificial tear usage, using repeated measurement ANOVA and Tukey's honestly significant difference (HSD) for analysis.
