Considering the issues present in traditional learning methods of manufacturing process for biotechnology majors, this paper presents the development and implementation process of the course entitled "Virtual Simulation Experiment of Recombinant Human Erythropoiesis Manufacturing Process". The experiment combines modern biological manufacturing technology and three-dimensional information technology, with recombinant human erythropoiesis drug serving as the focal point. This paper elaborates on the teaching concepts, objectives, contents, implementation methods, experimental procedures, interactive steps, and assessment criteria used in the experiment. Through innovative experimental scheme design, teaching methodologies, and evaluation systems, this course aims to cultivate students' analytical and problem-solving skills in the field of biopharmaceutical engineering, while also broadening students' perspective and expanding their vision.

Tumors lacking the BRCA1 and BRCA2 (BRCA) hereditary breast cancer genes display heightened sensitivity to anti-cancer treatments, such as inhibitors of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase 1 (PARP1). However, when resistance develops, treatments are lacking. Using CRISPR technology, we discovered that enhancing homologous recombination through increased DNA end resection in BRCA1-deficient cells by loss of the 53BP1-Shieldin complex-which is associated with resistance to PARP inhibitors-also heightens sensitivity to DNA nicks.

The liver is a unique organ where immunity can be biased toward ineffective response notably in the context of viral infections. Chronic viral hepatitis depends on the inability of the T-cell immune response to eradicate antigen. In the case of recombinant Adeno-Associated-Virus, used for therapeutic gene transfer, conflicting reports describe tolerance induction to different transgene products while other studies have shown conventional cytotoxic CD8 T cell responses with a rapid loss of transgene expression.

Recombination plays a key role in increasing the efficacy of selection. We investigate whether recombination can also play a role in resolving adaptive conflicts at loci coding for traits shared between the sexes. Errors during recombination events resulting in gene duplications may provide a long-term evolutionary advantage if those loci also experience sexually antagonistic (SA) selection since, after duplication, sex-specific expression profiles will be free to evolve, thereby reducing the load on population fitness and resolving the conflict.
