The study focused on grape seed-derived polyphenols for their antiplatelet, anti-inflammatory, and fibrinolytic properties through molecular docking and dynamics simulations. Compounds were evaluated for their effects on P2Y12, PTP1B, thromboxane A2, and other targets. Compounds 1 and 6 showed strong inhibitory potential on P2Y12. Compounds 2 and 7, plus epigallocatechin gallate, demonstrated effective inhibition on NF-KB and COX1. The compounds exhibited drug-like properties and potential for new thrombotic disease therapies. The research sheds light on the interactions between polyphenols and target proteins, paving the way for novel antiplatelet strategies.

Leaflet thrombosis after transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) presents a significant challenge, leading to adverse clinical outcomes. Subclinical leaflet thrombosis (SLT) is increasingly recognized, and there is a growing concern about its role in clinical events and hemodynamic valve deterioration. Current recommendations for prophylactic anticoagulation or antiplatelet therapy following TAVR are primarily based on expert consensus rather than definitive evidence from randomized trials, resulting in a variety of antithrombotic strategies in clinical practice.

This study reports a rare case of immune-complex mediated mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis (ICGN) with a full-house pattern in a 56-year-old Japanese man, observed during the treatment of immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP). Because of persistent complement deficiency and worsening of kidney function, he was treated with prednisolone, and his urinary findings improved markedly. However, as the complement titers were still low, mycophenolate mofetil was also prescribed, which normalized complement levels.

Objective: Lower extremity arterial disease (LEAD) is a prevalent condition that produces a significant burden on health care systems. Patients with LEAD have an increased risk of major adverse cardiovascular events as well as major adverse limb events. Despite significant variation in guidance on antiplatelet therapy for LEAD worldwide, many governing bodies recommend clopidogrel as the preferred single anti-platelet agent.

Antithrombotic medications, including antiplatelet agents, are standard treatments for patients with hyperlipidemia who have a high risk of developing cardiovascular disease (CVD). The ongoing exploration of new antiplatelet agents with minimal bleeding effects is crucial, including the investigation of potential compounds derived from natural products. This study intended to evaluate the antiplatelet effects of a combined extract of sappan wood ( L.

Hepatitis, a significant medical concern owing to its potential to cause acute and chronic liver disease, necessitates early intervention. In this study, we aimed to elucidate the histopathological features of lipopolysaccharide-induced hepatitis in mice, focusing on tissue alterations. The results demonstrated that hepatocytes exhibited decreased eosin staining, indicating cellular shrinkage, whereas sinusoids were swollen with blood cells.
