We show that a class of L-loop conformal ladder graphs are intimately related to twisted partition functions of free massive complex scalars in d=2L+1 dimensions. The graphs arise as four-point functions in certain two- and four-dimensional conformal fishnet models. The twisted thermal two-point function of the scalars becomes a generator of conformal ladder graphs for all loops. We argue that this correspondence is seeded by a system of two decoupled harmonic oscillators twisted by an imaginary chemical potential. We find a number of algebraic and differential relations among the conformal graphs that mirror the underlying free dynamics.

Proteins' flexibility is a feature in communicating changes in cell signaling instigated by binding with secondary messengers, such as calcium ions, associated with the coordination of muscle contraction, neurotransmitter release, and gene expression. When binding with the disordered parts of a protein, calcium ions must balance their charge states with the shape of calcium-binding proteins and their versatile pool of partners depending on the circumstances they transmit. Accurately determining the ionic charges of those ions is essential for understanding their role in such processes.

The Src homology 2 domain-containing inositol 5-phosphatase 1 (SHIP1) is a multidomain protein consisting of two protein-protein interaction domains, the Src homology 2 (SH2) domain, and the proline-rich region (PRR), as well as three phosphoinositide-binding domains, the pleckstrin homology-like (PHL) domain, the 5-phosphatase (5PPase) domain, and the C2 domain. SHIP1 is commonly known for its involvement in the regulation of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway by dephosphorylation of phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate (PtdIns(3,4,5)P) at the D5 position of the inositol ring. However, the functional role of each domain of SHIP1 for the regulation of its enzymatic activity is not well understood.

Frameshifting is an essential mechanism employed by many viruses including coronaviruses to produce viral proteins from a compact RNA genome. It is facilitated by specific RNA folds in the frameshift element (FSE), which has emerged as an important therapeutic target. For SARS-CoV-2, a specific 3-stem pseudoknot has been identified to stimulate frameshifting.

The conformational dynamics and activation mechanisms of KRAS proteins are of great importance for targeted cancer therapy. However, the detailed molecular mechanics of KRAS activation induced by GTP binding remains unclear. In this study, we systematically investigated how GTP/GDP exchange affects the thermodynamic and kinetic properties of KRAS and explored the activation mechanism using molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, Markov state models (MSMs), and neural relational inference (NRI) models.

Transcription is a key cell process that consists of synthesizing several copies of RNA from a gene DNA sequence. This process is highly regulated and closely linked to the ability of transcription factors to bind specifically to DNA. TFinder is an easy-to-use Python web portal allowing the identification of Individual Motifs (IM) such as Transcription Factor Binding Sites (TFBS).
