Ru-doped CoS hollow porous polyhedrons (Ru-CoS HPPs) derived from zeolitic-imidazolate-frameworks were synthesized through hydrothermal coprecipitation and thermal decomposition methods. The results indicate that Ru-CoS-500 HPPs possess a strong Ru-Co synergistic effect, large electrochemical surface area, and sufficient active sites, endowing them with excellent hydrogen evolution reaction performance.

Among the various aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) assays, performing accurate detection is difficult because false positives and false negatives are frequent due to limited sensitivity, expensive equipment, or inadequate pretreatment during operation. Here, an "off-on" switch-type electrochemiluminescence (ECL) aptasensor armed with cobalt-sulfur quantum dots was encapsulated in hollow cobalt-layered double hydroxide nanocages as an enhanced luminescent probe (Co-LDH@QDs), and a ferrocene-modified aptamer (Fc-APT) was used as a luminescent quencher. In general, when Fc-APT was hybridized with complementary DNA modified with a DNA nanotetrahedron, electron transfer between ferrocene and Co-LDH@QDs was facilitated, leading to efficient quenching of the ECL intensity into an "off" state in the absence of AFB1.

Transition metal sulfides are recognized as an excellent alternative to sodium ion anodes ascribed to the outstanding theoretical capacity. The unique crystal arrangement of VS gives it exceptional theoretical capacity, despite challenges like insufficient electrical conductivity and undesirable volume expansion. Herein, a novel stabilized anode featuring a distinctive 3D hollow spherical structure is proposed, providing a simple strategy to synthesize such anodes for VS-HCMSs bonded via C-O-S and V-O-C interfaces.

The high efficient utilization of light absorption and the effective separation of photogenerated carriers are critical factors in enhancing the performance of photocatalysts. In this study, CoNi-layered double hydroxide was synthesized using zeolitic imidazolate frameworks-67 as a template, followed by calcination to form CoS/NiS. Subsequently, ReS was deposited onto the surface of CoS/NiS, resulting in the ReS/CoS/NiS photocatalyst demonstrated notable hydrogen evolution activity under visible light, achieving a maximum hydrogen production rate of 40111.

Cobalt-based sulfides (CSs) are generally regarded as potentially valuable anode materials for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) due to their excellent theoretical capacity and natural abundance. Nevertheless, their slow reaction kinetics and poor structural stability restrict the practical application of the materials. In this study, the dual-carbon-confined Se-CoS@NC@C hollow nanocubes with anion doping are synthesized using ZIF-67 as the substrate by resorcin-formaldehyde (RF) encapsulation and subsequent carbonization and sulfurization/selenization.

Lumens are crucial features of the tissue architecture in both the healthy exocrine pancreas, where ducts shuttle enzymes from the acini to the intestine, and in the precancerous lesions of the highly lethal pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), similarly displaying lumens that can further develop into cyst-like structures. Branched pancreatic-cancer derived organoids capture key architectural features of both the healthy and diseased pancreas, including lumens. However, their transition from a solid mass of cells to a hollow tissue remains insufficiently explored.
