Objectives: Design of simulation training can have important implications for learning outcomes. This paper describes a pilot simulation training program for baccalaureate nursing students that includes intensive preparations, peer-to-peer skills training (P2P), prior to full-scale scenario training.
Methods: A quality improvement analysis of a large scale experimental, mixed methods study. The project describes the design, analysis, and potential effects of a simulation education program containing P2P for third year nursing students (163 in treatment; 148 in control, n=311).
Results: The intervention group was found to be significantly more confident in both technical and non-technical nursing skills. Results suggest that the addition of P2P training may have a direct positive impact and increase the impact on full-scale simulations and debriefing.
Conclusions: Enhanced focus on preparation activities prior to full-scale scenarios, including the use of P2P training methods are advocated.

Dental operations inherently involve a high risk of airborne cross-infection among medical staff and patients due to the exposure of respiratory secretions, which contain pathogenic microorganisms and typically spread in the form of aerosols. In order to contribute to the understanding of aerosol dynamics during dental operation and efficiently mitigate their dispersion and deposition through appropriate ventilation, 3D numerical simulations and full-scale experimental measurements were performed in this study. The indoor airflow distribution and dynamic aerosol behaviors observed under three optimized ventilation schemes (Scenario I-III) were compared with those observed under the current ventilation system.

Particularly when they occur at high speeds, vehicle accidents represent a serious threat to human beings and due to this fact vehicle accident is considered as worlds high priority risk. Several research have been done to enhance the crashworthiness of bumper subsystems. With an emphasis on the major crash management system components which are also known as crash box and bumper beam, this study explores ways to improve the crashworthiness of vehicles.

Background: The increasing frequency and severity of disasters worldwide needs effective disaster management training to enhance the preparedness and response capabilities of emergency responders. This study compares the outcomes of tabletop exercises (TTEs) and full-scale exercises (FSEs) in training senior paramedic students at Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz College for Emergency Medical Services, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Methods: A nonequivalent two-group quasi-experimental design was used.
Objective: Endovascular surgery requires accurate measurement of parameters such as pressure, temperature, and biomarkers within vessels for real-time tissue response monitoring and ensuring targeted therapeutic interventions. However, the availability of small tip-based sensors capable of precise application, for example, navigating an aneurysm's lumen, is limited. With their capabilities for real-time analysis, flexibility, and biocompatibility, optical fiber sensors (OFS) hold promise in addressing this need.
