Motion Capture (MoCap) has become an integral tool in fields such as sports, medicine, and the entertainment industry. The cost of deploying high-end equipment and the lack of expertise and knowledge limit the usage of MoCap from its full potential, especially at beginner and intermediate levels of sports coaching. The challenges faced while developing affordable MoCap systems for such levels have been discussed in order to initiate an easily accessible system with minimal resources.

Navigating visually complex environments requires focusing on relevant information while filtering out (salient) distractions. The signal suppression hypothesis posits that salient stimuli generate an automatic saliency signal that captures attention unless overridden by learned suppression mechanisms. In support of this, ERP studies have demonstrated that salient stimuli that do not capture attention elicit a distractor positivity (PD), a putative neural index of suppression.

We aimed to investigate whether a linear relationship exists between swimming velocity and vertical body position for each stroke phase in front crawl, and to determine whether there are differences in the velocity effect among the stroke phases. Eleven male swimmers performed a 15 m front crawl at various swimming velocities. The whole-body centre of mass (CoM) was estimated from individual digital human models using inverse kinematics.

Vision-language navigation (VLN) is a challenging task that requires agents to capture the correlation between different modalities from redundant information according to instructions, and then make sequential decisions on visual scenes and text instructions in the action space. Recent research has focused on extracting visual features and enhancing text knowledge, ignoring the potential bias in multi-modal data and the problem of spurious correlations between vision and text. Therefore, this paper studies the relationship structure between multi-modal data from the perspective of causality and weakens the potential correlation between different modalities through cross-modal causality reasoning.
