Detection of nitro pollutants is an important topic in environmental protection. A total of 3 Cd (II) complexes (-) based on 3 soft organic isomers, n-(3,5-dicarboxylato benzyloxy) benzoic acid ( = 2, 3 or 4-HDBB), and a linear N-donor ligand, 3-bis(imidazole-l-ylmethyl) benzene (3-bibz), have been synthesized hydrothermally. Structural diversity of Complexes - displays the architectural 2D or 3D change: Complex exhibits a 2D network featuring tri-nuclear metal units, Complex is a 3D framework based on similar tri-nuclear metal units, and Complex shows a 3D network with binuclear units. Fluorescent sensing properties exhibited in all these complexes have been discovered to detect nitrobenzene (NB) selectively and sensitively. In particular, Complex possesses high sensitivity for NB with the lowest detection limit of 1.15 × 10 M. The results of the theoretical calculation verified the fluorescence detection mechanism of NB by these Cd-based complexes. Therefore, these Cd-based complexes might be used as excellent luminescent sensors for NB.

Metasurfaces supporting narrowband resonances are of significant interest in photonics for molecular sensing, quantum light source engineering, and nonlinear photonics. However, many device architectures rely on large refractive index dielectric materials and lengthy fabrication processes. In this work, we demonstrate quasi-bound states in the continuum (quasi-BICs) using a polymer metasurface exhibiting experimental quality factors of 305 at visible wavelengths.

1,4-Dihydroxyanthraquinone (1,4-DHAQ, a fluorophore) doped carbon nanotubes@cellulose (1,4-DHAQ-doped CNTs@CL) nanofibrous membranes have been prepared electrospinning and subsequent deacetylation in this work. They have been successfully applied for highly sensitive detection of Cu in aqueous solution. The surface area per unit mass (S/M) ratio of the nanofibrous membranes was enhanced by incorporating the CNTs into cellulose.

Graphene quantum dots (GQDs) are highly valued for their chemical stability, tunable size, and biocompatibility. Utilizing green chemistry, a microwave-assisted synthesis method was employed to produce water-soluble GQDs from Mangifera Indica leaf extract. This approach is efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly, offering reduced reaction times, energy consumption, and uniform particle sizes, and has proven advantageous over other methods.

Immunotherapy is a promising cancer treatment, but its application is hindered by tumors' low immunogenicity and the difficulty of immune cell infiltration. Here, to address above issues and achieve targeted tumor treatment, we designed the first activated small molecule photosensitizer immune-prodrug HDIM based on pyroptosis, and proposed a self-amplified immune therapy strategy (SITS) for enhanced tumor therapy. HDIMcan be specifically activated by the tumor hypoxiaand then simultaneously initiate immuno-therapy and photodynamic therapy (PDT)-induced pyroptosis with NIR laser irradiation.

A sensitive fluorescence biosensor was developed for microcystin-LR (MC-LR) detection using H1, H2, and H3 DNA probes as sensing elements. The aptamer in H1 can recognize the target. H2 was labeled with FAM and BHQ.
