Electronic health records (EHRs) have revolutionized the scale, speed, and granularity at which health data can be collated and summarized for epidemiologic purposes. However, population-level analyses of patient-level data are only as reliable as the accuracy or completeness of patient reporting, clinician data entry, and how systems are programmed. This commentary on a case argues that responsibility for the validity of EHR data should be shared among key stakeholders, including patients.

The US is facing a growing epidemic of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), with over 2.5 million cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis reported in 2021 and again in 2022. This public health crisis disproportionately affects youth and racial and ethnic minority communities, exacerbating barriers to accessing sexual health services.

Patients' quality of life is often negatively impacted by persistent pruritus, sleep disturbance, and recurrent skin infections. Clinical and technological advancements have aided concussion management; however, the scientific study of the neurophysiology of concussion has not translated into its standard of care. This expert commentary is motivated by novel clinical applications of electroencephalographic-based neurofeedback approaches (eg, quantitative electroencephalography [QEEG]) for treating traumatic brain injury and emerging research interest in its translation for treating concussion.

This commentary explores a recent shift in British Columbia's drug policy under a novel drug "decriminalization" framework. We focus on the province's move toward "recriminalization" under this framework. In short, recriminalization was a shift in BC's drug decriminalization framework to only apply in private residences, and be removed from essentially all outdoor spaces.
