Background: Fabricating data or creating fictitious datasets undermines research credibility with severe consequences.
Purpose: To describe a data falsification incident that occurred during an undergraduate nursing research seminar and share the subsequent corrective measures employed at individual and class levels.
Methods: The students involved in the falsification were asked to identify the incident's factors using an Ishikawa diagram and the 5M-Model approach, presenting their findings to the class.
Results: In guided meetings, students offered diverse perspectives on the incident's causes, thoroughly examining the decision-making process behind data falsification, considering motives and emotions. Despite initial tension, the atmosphere improved as students displayed openness and honesty.
Conclusions: The current case study uniquely combines educational concepts with an approach to establishing a constructive organizational culture, incorporating tools from risk management and treatment safety. Academia should study adverse events, engage students in learning, and emphasize the integration of ethical codes in academia and nursing.

A cross-sectional analysis was performed to investigate associations between environmental temperatures and injury occurrence in two professional male football (soccer) leagues. Data from seven seasons of the German Bundesliga (2142 matches) and four seasons of the Australian A-League (470 matches) were included. Injuries were collated via media reports for the Bundesliga and via team staff reports in the A-League and comprised injury incidence, mechanisms (contact, noncontact), locations (e.

Background: Neuronal structure is disrupted after spinal cord injury (SCI), causing functional impairment. The effectiveness of exercise therapy (ET) in clinical settings for nerve remodeling post-SCI and its underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study aims to explore the effects and related mechanisms of ET on nerve remodeling in SCI rats.

Perceptual-cognitive skills are determinant for sports performance in young athletes. The present study aimed to clarify how maturity status influences perceptual-cognitive skills with consideration of training background and stereopsis. One hundred and sixty-six 10- to 16-year-old male participants were divided into eight groups based on their training background (moderately-trained: 1-2 weekly sessions; well-trained: 4-5 weekly sessions) and maturity status (Pre-Pubertal < -2 years from APHV, Pre-Pubertal = -2 to -0.

Background: Limited data exist on the long-term impact of beta-blocker therapy after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with stable coronary artery disease (CAD) and preserved left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF).
Objectives: The aim of the study was to evaluate the effects of early beta-blocker initiation vs no initiation following PCI in patients with stable CAD and preserved LVEF.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study employed target trial emulation and incident user design, utilizing the TriNetx database (2009-2024).

In natural environments, most rocks possess internal fissures and are often exposed to diverse external loads arising from engineering activities and ground stress, among other factors. This study aims to explore the influence of different loading rates on the mechanical properties and acoustic emission (AE) characteristics of fissured rocks and to develop an intrinsic damage model. To achieve this, prefabricated fissured rock specimens that mimic natural rocks were prepared.
