Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the apical microleakage of zinc oxide (ZOE) eugenol and Endoflas as obturating materials using different root canal irrigants in primary teeth.

Materials And Methods: A total of 80 extracted primary anterior teeth were divided randomly into four groups with different irrigants and obturating materials used. Group I [ZOE + sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl)], group II [ZOE + NaOCI + ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA)], group III (Endoflas FS + NaOCI), group IV (Endoflas FS + NaOCI + EDTA).

Apexification is a crucial procedure for achieving apical healing in non-vital teeth with open apices. Traditionally, calcium hydroxide has been used for this purpose, but it has significant drawbacks, including prolonged treatment duration, increased risk of root fracture, and the potential for porous barrier formation. Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) has emerged as a superior alternative due to its biocompatibility, faster setting time, and better sealing properties.

This study aims to evaluate the rice husk (EE-R) and lemongrass (EE-L) derived-eco-enzymes (EE) as alternatives to chemical-based disinfectants. The EE-R and EE-L's antimicrobial activity were tested against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella Typhimurium, and Staphylococcus aureus using a broth microdilution method. The antibiofilm activities of EE were determined using crystal violet staining.

Gravity-driven membrane (GDM) systems are increasingly recognized as sustainable and energy-efficient solutions for decentralized water treatment. However, membrane fouling, particularly by organic matter, remains a significant operational challenge, necessitating regular chemical cleaning to maintain performance. The present study was undertaken to investigate the cleaning efficiency of sodium dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC) tablets, a novel solid-state alternative to conventional liquid cleaning agents such as sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), acetic acid, and citric acid.

This study focused on the application of micro-nano bubbles (MNBs) water generated using air or oxygen (O), as an alternative to chlorine-based wash for fruits. For the in vitro and in vivo investigation, 10 spore or conidia/mL Colletotrichum gloeosporioides suspension was used, and treated with solutions of air- or O-MNB for 30- or 60-min, sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), and untreated (as control). In the second experiment, freshly harvested guava fruits were washed with tap water (control), NaOCl (standard practice), air-, or O-MNB (for 15- or 30-min).
