Occlusions pose a significant challenge to depth estimation in various fields, including automatic driving, remote sensing observation, and video surveillance. In this Letter, we propose a novel, to the best of our knowledge, depth estimation method for dense occlusion to estimate the depth behind occlusions. We design a comprehensive procedure using an event camera that consists of two steps: rough estimation and precise estimation. In the rough estimation, we reconstruct two segments of the event stream to remove occlusions and subsequently employ a binocular intersection measurement to estimate the rough depth. In the precise estimation, we propose a criterion that the maximum total length of edges of reconstructed images corresponds to the actual depth and search for the precise depth around the rough depth. The experimental results demonstrate that our method is implemented with relative errors of depth estimation below 1.05%.

Introduction: The increasing heavy and sustained use of nitrous oxide (NO) for recreational purposes in several countries is a growing public health issue, as it can cause neuropathy and other harms. Documenting recreational NO use prevalence and characteristics of people who use the drug in the general population is essential.
Methods: Between 2 March and 9 July 2022, we conducted a nationwide survey of a random sample of adults in France to estimate the prevalence of NO awareness and reported use.

Background: Chimerism monitoring is part of the standard of care for patients following an allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. There has recently been a move towards sensitive, high-throughput (next-generation) sequencing analysis of biallelic markers for this purpose. Determining the number and properties of the markers to include in an assay to achieve reliable yet cost-effective chimerism quantification is an underexposed but critical part of chimerism assay development, optimization, and validation.

Empowerment-based self-defense (ESD) programs have proven effective in preventing sexual violence (SV) among girls in diverse settings, yet their effectiveness in South Africa remains unexplored. In this hybrid type 1 cluster-randomized controlled trial, we assessed the impact and implementation of the COVID-adapted 'No Means No' intervention, an ESD program to prevent SV among girls aged 10-19 in Gqeberha, South Africa. Fifteen schools were randomly assigned to one of three trial arms: an arm receiving intervention delivered to girls-only, one receiving interventions delivered to girls and boys seperately, or to serve as controls in a 1:1:1 ratio.
