We studied local autoimmune reactions in rat sciatic nerve after two successive injuries at the same site. The behavioral consequences of these injuries were also examined. We found that repetitive injuries had a moderately adverse effect on function and were accompanied by local autoimmune reactions. A causal relation between the two phenomena was possible but not clearly established.

The significance of three-dimensional (3D) bioprinting in the domain of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering is readily apparent. To create a multi-functional bioinspired structure, 3D bioprinting requires high-performance bioinks. Bio-inks refer to substances that encapsulate viable cells and are employed in the printing procedure to construct 3D objects progressive through successive layers.

Background: Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is a highly malignant soft tissue tumor derived from primitive embryonal mesenchymal tissue that differentiates into striated skeletal muscle. Despite the improved outcome based on the EFS and OS using the three different treatment modalities-chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgical treatment, the survival of patients depends on their IRS groups-pathological and surgical. On the other hand in the last thirty years a great improvement of the five-year overall survival (OS) of children with RMS have been observed based on the results of large multinational collaborative trials and successive studies dedicated to children, though prognosis is variable and dependent on several factors including histologic variant, primary sites of the tumor, extent of disease (disease resectability), and molecular-level characteristics.

Background: The levels of β-amyloid precursor protein (β-APP), tau protein, and phosphorylation of tau (p-tau) protein were examined by quantitative immunohistochemistry in the spinal cord sections of mice suffering from experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) in the successive phases of the disease: onset, peak, and chronic.
Methods: EAE was induced in C57BL/6 mice by immunization with MOG35-55 peptide. The degree of pathological changes was assessed in cross-sections of the entire spinal cord.
Bilateral successive anterior ischaemic optic neuropathy (AION) episodes are uncommon occurrences with a short list of differential diagnoses. We present the case of a 75-year-old male who developed bilateral consecutive non-arteritic AION after commencing 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) chemotherapy. The case report describes a temporal sequence of events with a halt in the progression of signs and symptoms upon cessation of treatment with this agent.
