Background: Spontaneous reperfusion (SR) occurring before primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI) can offer additional clinical benefits to patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). The Platelet-to-White Blood Cell Ratio (PWR) has been recognized as a prognostic indicator in various diseases. We aimed to explore the relationship between PWR and SR in patients with STEMI undergoing PPCI.

Objective: To investigate the independent risk factors for short-term mortality in patients with spontaneous cerebellar hemorrhage (SCH) based on Mimics software of medical image control system.
Methods: The clinical data of SCH patients treated at Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University from January, 2010 to December, 2021 was retrospectively analyzed and compared, including gender, age, underlyin g diseases, Glasgow coma scale (GCS) and blood pressure at admission, laboratory indicators, imaging data, and short-term (3 weeks after onset) survival status. The imaging examination parameters were accurately calculated using Mimics software, including hematoma volume, longest diameter, and maximum cross-sectional area of cerebellar hemorrhage.
Background: Valve-related haemolysis is a known complication following prosthetic valve surgery. Haemolysis after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) has been reported in some studies, all of which were non-critical. Data related to haemolysis associated with new-generation balloon-expandable valve (BEV) are scarce.

Objective: This study aimed to estimate the prevalence and investigate the factors associated with intestinal parasitic diseases in children from an urban slum in Brazil.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in children living in SEWA community, an urban slum located in Araguari, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The prevalence of intestinal parasitosis was determined via stool parasitological examination by spontaneous sedimentation.
