We present an open-source MLatom@XACS software ecosystem for on-the-fly surface hopping nonadiabatic dynamics based on the Landau-Zener-Belyaev-Lebedev algorithm. The dynamics can be performed via Python API with a wide range of quantum mechanical (QM) and machine learning (ML) methods, including ab initio QM (CASSCF and ADC(2)), semiempirical QM methods (e.g., AM1, PM3, OMx, and ODMx), and many types of ML potentials (e.g., KREG, ANI, and MACE). Combinations of QM and ML methods can also be used. While the user can build their own combinations, we provide AIQM1, which is based on Δ-learning and can be used out-of-the-box. We showcase how AIQM1 reproduces the isomerization quantum yield of -azobenzene at a low cost. We provide example scripts that, in dozens of lines, enable the user to obtain the final population plots by simply providing the initial geometry of a molecule. Thus, those scripts perform geometry optimization, normal mode calculations, initial condition sampling, parallel trajectories propagation, population analysis, and final result plotting. Given the capabilities of MLatom to be used for training different ML models, this ecosystem can be seamlessly integrated into the protocols building ML models for nonadiabatic dynamics. In the future, a deeper and more efficient integration of MLatom with Newton-X will enable a vast range of functionalities for surface hopping dynamics, such as fewest-switches surface hopping, to facilitate similar workflows via the Python API.

Recently, robust d-wave superconductive (SC) order has been unveiled in the ground state of the 2D t-t^{'}-J model-with both nearest-neighbor (t) and next-nearest-neighbor (t^{'}) hoppings-by density matrix renormalization group studies. However, there is currently a debate on whether the d-wave SC holds up strong on both t^{'}/t>0 and t^{'}/t<0 cases for the t-t^{'}-J model, which correspond to the electron- and hole-doped sides of the cuprate phase diagram, respectively. Here, we exploit state-of-the-art thermal tensor network approach to accurately obtain the phase diagram of the t-t^{'}-J model on cylinders with widths up to W=6 and down to low temperature as T/J≃0.

The assessment of electronic structure descriptions utilized in the simulation of the ultrafast excited-state dynamics of Fe(II) complexes is presented. Herein, we evaluate the performance of the RPBE, OPBE, BLYP, B3LYP, B3LYP*, PBE0, TPSSh, CAM-B3LYP, and LC-BLYP (time-dependent) density functional theory (DFT/TD-DFT) methods in full-dimensional trajectory surface hopping (TSH) simulations carried out on linear vibronic coupling (LVC) potentials. We exploit the existence of time-resolved X-ray emission spectroscopy (XES) data for the [Fe(bmip)] and [Fe(terpy)] prototypes for dynamics between metal-to-ligand charge-transfer (MLCT) and metal-centered (MC) states, which serve as a reference to benchmark the calculations (bmip = 2,6-bis(3-methyl-imidazole-1-ylidine)-pyridine, terpy = 2,2':6',2″-terpyridine).

The present investigation provides an easy and affordable strategy for fabrication of functional ceramics BiNaTiO-SrFeO (BNT-SrF5) thick films on a flexible, inexpensive and electrically integrated substrate using electrophoretic deposition process (EPD). EPD is a widely accepted, environmentally friendly method for applying coatings from a colloidal suspension to conductive substrates. Lead-free ferroelectric BNT-SrF5 powder was synthesized by solid state method to fabricate bulk samples and thick films (30-160 μm) by EPD process.

The interfacial proton transfer (PT) reaction on the metal oxide surface is an important step in many chemical processes including photoelectrocatalytic water splitting, dehydrogenation, and hydrogen storage. The investigation of the PT process, in terms of thermodynamics and kinetics, has received considerable attention, but the individual free energy barriers and solvent effects for different PT pathways on rutile oxide are still lacking. Here, by applying a combination of ab initio and deep potential molecular dynamics methods, we have studied interfacial PT mechanisms by selecting the rutile SnO(110)/HO interface as an example of an oxide with the characteristic of frequently interfacial PT processes.

Through catalyzing the transfer of methyl groups onto the guanidinium of arginine, protein arginine methyltransferase 5 (PRMT5) was essential to the cell growth of cancer cells. By utilizing a scaffold hopping strategy, a novel series of 3,4-dihydroisoquinolin-1()-one derivatives were designed and synthesized. Through a systematic SAR study, demonstrated excellent PRMT5 inhibitory activity, potent antiproliferative activity against Z-138, favorable pharmacokinetic profiles, and low hERG toxicity.
