Essential Tremor (ET) is characterized by action tremor often associated with resting tremor (rET). Although previous studies have identified widespread brain white matter (WM) alterations in ET patients, differences between ET and rET have been less explored. In this study we employed differential tractography to investigate WM microstructural alterations in these tremor disorders.

Trends in the prevalence of adult obesity and severe obesity over the previous 10 years are also shown.
Methods: Data from the August 2021-August 2023 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) were used for prevalence estimates, incorporating examination survey sample weights into the analysis and accounting for the survey's complex, multistage probability design.

Objective: This study aims to evaluate if attitudes toward drug use, decision-making, communication, and alcohol resistance skills act as predictors of alcohol use and binge drinking initiation among Brazilian students, considering the sex differences.
Methods: We used a longitudinal sample of 1,103 seventh-grade students from 15 Brazilian public schools. We explored if attitudes toward drug use, decision-making, communication, and alcohol resistance skills at baseline predicted alcohol outcomes nine months later.

Unlabelled: Acute lower respiratory infections (ALRI) are the main cause of hospitalization during the winter season. High-flow nasal catheter (HFNC) has been established as part of the treatment of these infections.
Objective: To characterize the population of children with acute hypoxemic respiratory failure treated with HFNC and to determine the predictors of failure of this therapy.

Cancer survivors have an increased risk of developing Type 2 diabetes compared to the general population. Patients treated with cisplatin, a common chemotherapeutic agent, are more likely to develop metabolic syndrome and Type 2 diabetes than age- and sex-matched controls. Surprisingly, the impact of cisplatin on pancreatic islets has not been reported.
