The study was designed to investigate the pattern of intraventricular Hemo-Dynamic Forces (HDF) and myocardial performance during exercise in Elite Cyclists (EC). Transthoracic stress echocardiography was performed on nineteen EC and thirteen age-matched sedentary controls (SC) at three incremental exercise intensities based on Heart Rate Reserve (HRR). Objectives: An unhealthy lifestyle, inappropriate eating habits, and inadequate physical activity are the most common risk factors affecting health and causing the premature onset of non-communicable diseases. The study aimed to evaluate lifestyle factors, eating habits, and daily regimens in a sample of Slovak adolescents.

Methods: The sample involves 524 students aged 15-22 years attending selected secondary schools from the model region of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.

In snowboard freestyle, rotation is the key indicator of trick difficulty, encouraging riders to perform tricks with more rotation. In many cases, snowboarders learn and practice tricks using training tools such as trampolins and/or landingbags before they transfer this tricks on-snow. It has not yet been scientifically investigated which movement parameters are primarily responsible for the acquisistion of increasingly difficult cork tricks.

Background: Cardiac surgery-associated acute kidney injury (CSA-AKI) results in poor prognosis. Several risk factors for CSA-AKI have been reported, including preoperative creatinine level, cardiopulmonary bypass time, and perioperative blood pressure management. Only few studies have reported the effect of vascular stiffness on the incidence of CSA-AKI, and there are is no study reporting on endothelial function and its association with CSA-AKI.
