The volar dislocation of the distal ulna is an uncommon injury and often missed due to its rarity. If diagnosed early, it can be managed with a simple closed reduction followed by immobilization. Open reduction is recommended in case of any interposition preventing reduction. In this case report, we present a rare case of neglected volar distal ulna dislocation associated with a distal radius fracture presenting with a fixed supination deformity that was managed successfully with a Sauvé- Kapandji procedure using a modified approach to restore forearm rotation. At 10 months, the patient had a good union at the distal radio ulnar joint (DRUJ) with improved forearm rotations. no previous cases of neglected volar distal ulna dislocation with distal radius fracture has been reported in the literature. If DRUJ stability cannot be restored after closed reduction of distal radius fracture, open reduction and internal fixation of the fracture should always be performed to avoid subsequent DRUJ subluxation/dislocations.

The assessment of biological maturation is a central topic in pediatric exercise sciences. Skeletal age (SA) reflects changes in each bone of the hand and wrist from initial ossification to the adult state. This study examined intra-observer and inter-examiner agreement is Greulich-Pyle (GP) assessments of SA in 97 male tennis players 8.

This study aimed to summarize the clinical characteristics of acute epiphyseal osteomyelitis and acute metaphyseal osteomyelitis of long bones in children. Data of 43 children with acute osteomyelitis of long bones diagnosed and treated from November 2017 to January 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Medical records, laboratory results, and MRI were reviewed.

Background: The most common postoperative complication of the Sauvé‒Kapandji (S-K) procedure is proximal ulnar stump instability. The distal oblique bundle (DOB) is a stable tissue used to stabilize the distal radioulnar joint. This study created finite-element models of the distal oblique bundle (DOB) to determine its effect on the proximal ulnar stump instability encountered during the Sauvé‒Kapandji procedure.

Purpose: Distal radius fractures (DRFs) are often initially assessed by junior doctors under time constraints, with limited supervision, risking significant consequences if missed. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) can aid in diagnosing fractures. This study aims to internally and externally validate an open source algorithm for the detection and localization of DRFs.

Background: Biomechanical studies suggest that the triceps brachii muscle generates resistive force against valgus stress on the elbow during baseball pitching. However, given the parallel fiber orientation in the distal tendinous structure of the triceps brachii, the mechanism behind this anti-valgus force remains unclear. In the present study, we aimed to examine the anatomy of the distal tendinous structure of the triceps brachii using bony morphological, macroscopic, and histological methods.
