Background: Glaucoma, the silent thief of sight, is one of the most common vision-threatening conditions. Even though POAG (primary open angle glaucoma) is more common, PACG (primary angle closure glaucoma) is the dreaded variant. ISGEO (International Society for Geographical and Epidemiological Ophthalmology) has classified primary angle closure as PACS (primary angle closure suspect), PAC (primary angle closure), and PACG (primary angle closure glaucoma. The inconspicuous nature of PACS makes its diagnosis and treatment very tricky.
Purpose: To determine which cases are best suited for laser peripheral iridotomy.
Synopsis: Laser peripheral iridotomy is the gold standard for acute primary angle closure glaucoma treatment. But there is a lot of confusion regarding its use in PACS as a prophylactic measure. We have tried to throw light on laser peripheral iridotomy, a much debatable topic. The video focuses on various trials regarding laser peripheral iridotomy, the indications, side effects, and contraindications. We have also discussed its use as a therapeutic and prophylactic procedure.
Highlights: The video highlights that the approach of laser peripheral iridotomy should be on a case-by-case basis.

Background: Geographic stent-ostium mismatch is an important predictor of target lesion failure after percutaneous coronary intervention of an aorto-ostial right coronary artery lesion. Optimal visualization of the aorto-ostial plane is crucial for precise stent implantation at the level of the ostium. This study investigates whether preprocedural 3-dimensional computed tomography (3DCT), with determination of the optimal viewing angle, would allow for more precise stent implantation and reduce procedure time, contrast, and radiation dose.

Study Purpose: to compare single- site viscotrabeculotomy in one eye and double-site rigid probe viscotrabeculotomy in the other eye of the same patient with Primary congenital glaucoma to evaluate the effect of the extent of angle treatment on success rate in the study's locality.
Patients And Methods: This prospective randomized study included 70 eyes of 35 children diagnosed with bilateral PCG who attended Mansoura Ophthalmic Center from June 2021 to July 2023. For each patient, one eye underwent single-site rigid probe viscotrabeculotomy (Group S: 35 eyes) and the fellow eye underwent double- site rigid probe viscotrabeculotomy (Group D: 35 eyes).

Background: High-resolution brain imaging is crucial in clinical diagnosis and neuroscience, with ultra-high field strength MRI systems ( ) offering significant advantages for imaging neuronal microstructures. However, achieving magnetic field homogeneity is challenging due to engineering faults during the installation of superconducting strip windings and the primary magnet.
Purpose: This study aims to design and optimize active superconducting shim coils for a 7 T animal MRI system, focusing on the impact of safety margin, size, and adjustability of the second-order shim coils on the MRI system's optimization.

Water conveyance channels in cold and arid regions pass through several saline-alkali soil areas. Canal water leakage exacerbates the salt expansion traits of such soil, damaging canal slope lining structures. To investigate the mechanical properties of saline clay, this study conducted indoor tests, including direct shear, compression, and permeation tests, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis of soil samples from typical sites.
