Recent advancements in cancer research focus on reducing treatment side effects while enhancing efficacy against medication resistance and tumor antigen detection. Genetic therapies utilizing microbes like bacteria, fungi, and viruses have garnered attention, with mycoviruses emerging as promising candidates. Particularly, the smallest fungal virus, Myco-phage, exhibits oncolytic properties by lysing cancer cells in the mouth, oral cavity, head, and neck without adverse effects.

Sexological problems are rarely highlighted in the context of post-traumatic stress disorder. Beyond the direct clinical symptoms of this disorder, sexual dysfunction is one of the most common co-morbid signs in psychotraumatic clinics. In the specific context of the military institution, and particularly the Foreign Legion hospital, the sexological approach represents both a challenge and an opportunity to contribute to the reconstruction of these young men, overwhelmed by the unspeakable effects of war and their intimate difficulties.

Here, we comment on several topics discussed during a networking workshop-Algae and the Environment-that brought together phycological researchers from a variety of institutions and career stages.
