Background: The tea plant (Camellia sinensis (L.) O. Kuntze) is one of the most economically important woody crops. Plastic greenhouse covering cultivation has been widely used in tea areas of northern China. Chlorophyll is not only the crucial pigment for green tea, but also plays an important role in the growth and development of tea plants. Currently, little is known about the effect of plastic greenhouse covering cultivation on chlorophyll in tea leaves.
Results: To investigate the effect of plastic greenhouse covering cultivation on chlorophyll in tea leaves, color difference values, chlorophyll contents, gene expression, enzyme activities and photosynthetic parameters were analyzed in our study. Sensory evaluation showed the color of appearance, liquor and infused leaves of greenhouse tea was greener than field tea. Color difference analysis for tea liquor revealed that the value of ∆L, ∆b and b/a of greenhouse tea was significantly higher than field tea. Significant increase in chlorophyll content, intracellular CO, stomatal conductance, transpiration rate, and net photosynthetic rate was observed in greenhouse tea leaves. The gene expression and activities of chlorophyll-metabolism-related enzymes in tea leaves were also activated by greenhouse covering.
Conclusion: The higher contents of chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and total chlorophyll in greenhouse tea samples were primarily due to higher gene expression and activities of chlorophyll-metabolism-related enzymes especially, chlorophyll a synthetase (chlG), pheophorbide a oxygenase (PAO) and chlorophyllide a oxygenase (CAO) in tea leaves covered by greenhouse. In general, our results revealed the molecular basis of chlorophyll metabolism in tea leaves caused by plastic greenhouse covering cultivation, which had great significance in production of greenhouse tea.

Domestic waste treatment is an important source of anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions, and it is of great significance to clarify the carbon emission intensity of each link before and after waste classification treatment to help with the "double carbon" goal. Based on the relevant data on domestic waste generation in Baoji City in 2021, combined with the integrated urban and rural domestic waste disposal model, the carbon emission intensity of urban and rural domestic waste treatment before and after classification was calculated using the IPCC inventory guide carbon emission factor method. The results showed that by reducing the proportion of simple landfills in rural areas, the carbon reduction could reach 59 451.

We investigated the effectiveness of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) covers in reducing landfill emissions of hydrogen sulphide (HS), ammonia (NH), and inhalable particulate matter smaller than 10 μm in diameter (PM) at the Waste Management Centre Marišćina (Croatia) by comparing air quality data from 2018, prior to the installation of the HDPE cover, with data from 2021, post-installation. The results demonstrate a significant reduction in HS and PM concentrations (36.76 % and 24.

Introduction: Detecting strawberry growth stages is crucial for optimizing production management. Precise monitoring enables farmers to adjust management strategies based on the specific growth needs of strawberries, thereby improving yield and quality. However, dense planting patterns and complex environments within greenhouses present challenges for accurately detecting growth stages.

Land surface temperature (LST) serves as a crucial indicator for evaluating the effects of different environmental factors on the ecosystem, including alterations in land use, climate variations, and emissions of greenhouse gases. This comprehensive study used remote sensing data to analyze changes and effects of land use/land cover (LULC) on LST in Tay Ninh province, Vietnam, from 1988-2023. Landsat satellite images in 1988, 2004, and 2023 were preprocessed and supervised classification on ArcGIS 10.
