The genome sequence of a solitary sea squirt, (Müller, 1776).

We present a genome assembly from an individual (the (a solitary sea squirt); Chordata; Ascidiacea; Phlebobranchia; Ascidiidae). The genome sequence is 197.0 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 9 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 19.46 kilobases in length.
